no1youknowz 3
Hey guys, I have a purchased ubot for some other projects, but I also have particular project in mind for it. Is it possible for ubot to do this? 1) Grab text from an http (GET) request to a server.2) Open Up SpinChimp and paste text into the text window.3) Perform a global spin4) Copy the text from the text window.5) Do an HTTP POST back to the web server of the clipboard text, thus saving the new content. p.s Please don't mention imacros. There are far more powerful better implementations out there, that make imacros look like it's from 1999. Thanks
rusty 0
Not sure with the other queries but I played around with performing a global spin, I can't find any way to do this. I just assumed it ain't part of the feature.
UBotBuddy 331
Define an external program. Do you mean "Can UBot open another application like Notepad.exe and interact with it?"
LoWrIdErTJ - BotGuru 904
if you have spin chimp then you have access to their api, search the forum here i provided a set of ubot code to work with their API directly and works well.
no1youknowz 3
Define an external program. Do you mean "Can UBot open another application like Notepad.exe and interact with it?" Yes, I mean another exe. if you have spin chimp then you have access to their api, search the forum here i provided a set of ubot code to work with their API directly and works well. You need to think outside of the box on this one. If I use spinchimps, TBS, spinnerchief API or another service then I am spending $$$ and can only do a certain amount of spins. I think up to a thousand (per a specific timeframe). What if I wanted to do a million spins right now and for free? Oops, looks like you are stuck. Anyway, it doesn't matter. I have used another program with specialises in Windows Automation and did exactly what I wanted.
ubotusold 28
Ubot is only for browser automation. It is not a general purpose Windows macro mouse/key recorder. Have Ubot shell out to an Windows macro recorder to play a pre-recorded script. Pass information back to Ubot by reading a saved text file generated by the application you are automating. Or if you are more technically inclined, store and retrieve from a database. Note that this also works in reverse. That is, you could use a Windows macro recorder to get Ubot to execute a pre-recorded script as well.
AutomationNinja 194
Anyway, it doesn't matter. I have used another program with specialises in Windows Automation and did exactly what I wanted. What program do you use? Would really, really, really like to see features such as this to added in a future release of Ubot.
ubotusold 28
why would you want this as part of ubot? theres no point in it. ubot as i said is for browser automation only. having what you want is going in an entirely different direction.
