Facebook fan page scraper... ajax problem

I'm trying to scrape facebook fan pages from keywords I use.

Initially you only get 10 results. Then you have to click on an ajax button to get more results.

 

So when you arrive you'll be at:

 

http://www.facebook.com/search.php?q=girls

 

But to get more results you'll go to http://www.facebook.com/ajax/search/blendedsearch/more.php?q=girls&s=10

 

When you enter that URL into UBOT... ubot doesn't return anything.

 

Is it possible to display more results?

I see what the problem you are going through, but I think there should be a work around for it.. I will look into it and get back..

Try looking at the javascript on the page; this can be triggered using Ubot's 'run javascript' command.

The only thing I see on the page is an async call made to :

 

http://www.facebook.com/ajax/search/blendedsearch/more.php?q=girls&s=10

 

Which Ubot is not making and trying to navigate to it

 

Same thing if I copy paste the link address in any browser it doesn't work, maybe it should be an asynchronous call to the server.

are you navigating to that page or clicking through to get to that page? when I enter the url into firefox by itself, it also gives me a blank page.

FB uses Javscript to fire many of those buttons, that is where I think you should be looking.
