hannahmcintyre 2
How do you get around posting in iframed boxes? I can't seem to find a single attribute that actually works, and for the ones that I can't link to directly, I don't know a workaround and am wondering if anyone else does? An example of what I mean is vox.com posts and I THINK also ArticlesBase. Thanks!
Seth Turin 223
do you mean tinymce?
hannahmcintyre 2
I did, yes, sorry. I figured out how to do it, but I'm having problems with pages that have more than one tinymce, as they all have the same id...
hannahmcintyre 2
Ugh, this is really killing me. Does anyone know how to deal with more than one tinymce thing on one page? Articlesbase.com is a perfect example: the author bio and content boxes are indistinguishable.
webautomationlab 21
Position?
hannahmcintyre 2
Position?Position comes through as the same thing. inner and outer HTML are identical, and since it's being called from javascript I can't change the html code for one box and not the other. turbolapp 5
I feel your pain Hannah, going through it right now. Frames tend to render ubot useless.
Frank 177
Seems that I just started a thread on exactly the same thing. So, I'll pitch my hat into the ring with you folks.... Any ideas from the ubot staff would be greatly appreciated..... Frank
Seth Turin 223
it's a pain. what I think will have to happen will be some kind of integrated solution into ubot. maybe a "fill rich text box" command or something to that effect. it's pretty high on my list, since a lot of people are hurting from it, but I have to get through these infrastructure changes first. Frank 177
Seth, I popped off a ticket in the ticketing system that you can ignore. You've answered it. Frank
genebadd 0
I found that the best fix for this at the moment is to manually turn Java Off in IE: Internet Options>security>custom> disable active scripting ; which is near the bottom. I created an article submission bot and some sites use tinymce. I have the bot pause between submissions so I can jump on IE and disable java and then let it continue when needed. It's not perfect but it works.
Frank 177
Thanks for your suggestion, but I'm going to wait on updates to hopefully overcome this issue. If ubot had the ability to turn javascript on and off during running, well, then maybe, but in the long term; even this isn't a solution. Cheers and thanks again! sputnik13 12
Tinymce and iframes are putting the pwnage down on my bots! Anybody got around thru behind etc these beastly little tinymce monsters and iframes?

sputnik13 12
Wonder how hard that'd be for a command? Just feed it the textarea's id. $kicktinyMCEAss
Frank 177
That's a good point. I'm finding more and more things that I'm continuously recycling. Starting to save my popular subroutines in a common bot. What I'd love to see is a way to print out my bots. That way I can keep a paper record of the bots so I can program for them. UBotDev 276
Hey, I have a question...how were you able to choose sub-category when posting to articlesbase.com?
