Frank 177
Hey guys, fire up ubot studio (I'm using 5.7), and navigate to this url: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=ubot+tutorials Once there try to do a attribute scrape on the video descriptions in the listing. If you then go to the Advanced Editor Element, you refine a search the code listing on the left is empty. I can only guess that there's some Javascript action and this isn't inserted until after the page completes? I've included a screen snap to illustrate. http://screencast.com/t/dfWT1eodZMC9 Frank
luis carlos 94
Happens all the time in youtube. The workaround is using firebug from firefox.

Frank 177
Happens all the time in youtube. The workaround is using firebug from firefox. Dang good thought there. Sometimes I'm just not thinking! Thanks.
Frank 177
I've been actually thinking about this and maybe it may be a nice enhancement in youtube to present not the html code in the advanced element selector but the displayed code in the window. The displayed code will have been completely laid into place. That would essentially be like looking at it in firebug. The question is, is it possible?
LoWrIdErTJ - BotGuru 904
have you tried to scroll it into focus (visible in screen) then try to scrape it?
Frank 177
yep. I can snag the element and name it but in the advanced element selector window, there's zero code to look around at in the left panel. Frank
mithcd 4
Firebug from Firefox did the trick for me as well, thanks!
