golfer57 0
Hello all, my name is Steve from NM and I always wanted to learn how to create scripts/bots, I was in programming years ago when Basic, fortran coball were the languages. But times have changed.Just wanted to say hi. But i do have a question. I am in the botbank and i wanted to create a bot that would create a live.com account. I watched the video from years ago where it says to get to the page that you want and click into any of the fields and right click and choose the "create bot bank command". Well i am on the signup page and I did just that and nothing happens. the page that is shown in the video never comes up to choose the different UI fields. Not sure what to make of this or what is wrong. Can someone tell me what i am doing wrong? Also is there a current video on the use of the bot bank? here is the video i was watching: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtZjVix3OJ8 thanksSteve

I've been using Ubot for about 2 years now, and I've never found it helpful. In the browser, right click where you want to put in the account details and select "Change Attribute". In that command, you can decide what you want that textbox's details to be. Play around with it, and try to learn it 1 command at a time, it's ok if you don't make the world's best bot on your first try. http://wiki.ubotstudio.com/wiki/Main_PageThis page has a lot of helpful information and it has recommendations on each command. Good luck!

Brutal 164
Golfer I'm with Ptrick... I have never found any value in the bot bank at all. I believe that I read somewhere in the forum that you can right-click and get the code for those though.... So that might be useful to you in your absolute beginnings. gavind 6
Good luck Golfer, you already have programming background, you should be able to figure it out in no time. I've seen people here being able to create complex bots with little to know experience at programming at all.
Edward_2 85
I just use a text editor and save the scripts in there. This one I found useful http://www.notetab.com/
Seth Turin 223
Welcome to the community Steve! Let me clear up a bit about the Bot Bank. We first made it as a means for people to quickly share simple website scripts, a means of crowdsourcing. We had some early success with it, but it wasn't getting the amount of activity that we needed, so we sectioned off the website scripts and we essentially repurposed the Bot Bank to house some of UBot Studio's more advanced functionality, the UBot Extended Library. The Website section is still there and should be functional, but it's likely that many of the scripts are out of date, due to how frequently websites change. Our major focus now is on the UBot Extended Library. There is also a private Bot Bank, which is a means for you to quickly save and retrieve scripts that you use a lot. We're working on redoing our tutorials to reflect the changes that have happened. Hope this clears some of it up!
