I am not sure if all of you has heard about this, as I was surprised when this topic fired up a few days ago while chatting on a forum that a few people where nop aware of this. As we know that some prophecies suggest that the 2012 date marks the end of the world or similar catastrophes, like the Mayan Civilization had there calendar end at 21st Dec. 2012, Nostradamus, and many other famous names suggested similar phenomenon. Since the earth is still here, all the prophecies about the end of the world till now have failed!But this theory about "2012 end of the world" is freaking some people out. I was just curious to know what ya all fellows think about it? Is it metropolitan legend? Prophecy? SF? Great marketing promotion of survival-kit suppliers? Just BS? Found some interesting pictures and talk on other IM portals about it. But (slightly more) seriously. The Mayan calendar never said the world was ending on ANY date. It just happened to end in 2012. Nobody actually knows why. It just did. Could be that some ancient scribe just got really tired of carving dates into rock/wood. Who knows. The world was supposed to end in 2000 too (not to mention all the other times). Now that one I actually was SLIGHTLY concerned about just because I actually understood the potential realities of computer systems suddenly thinking it was 1900. But as we all know... that was seriously much ado about nothing. Now for something completely different (and I'm asking this in this thread, because of the very issue I'm about to ask about). What the hell is up with only being able to post once per day in the forum now??? Seriously, in the reply section on any post I see: You can make 1 more posts today. Why on earth is that there? Seriously keeps me from wanting to post here because I know I can't respond to anything until the next day and then only once. I blame the Mayans. (How's that for staying on topic??) I don't think the end of the world is coming, not yet anyway, but there are those whom believe something is going to happen after the 2012 USA elections. It's really weird. Some think there will be an attack by China, a nuclear war,an American Revolution, and so on. If you saw the movie "Jackel" with Bruce Willis you would have seen his special weapon. I have 6 of those and a 7th one mounted on my armored plated SUV.
