UBotDev 276
Hey, I was wondering why are ubot compiled bots indentified as trojan (fakems) by Malwarebytes? I also heard some antivirus programs find it as virus... Any explanation?
addamroy 36
Hey, I was wondering why are ubot compiled bots indentified as trojan (fakems) by Malwarebytes? I also heard some antivirus programs find it as virus... Any explanation? I've had the same exact issue, on more than one occasion. I also noticed that after running a compiled bot, a bunch of 'hidden files' are created and placed into the application folder. .dll files mostly, at least 4 of them. I'd love an explanation. UBotDev 276
I cant believe there is no answer from stuff... This is really starting to concern me. :/
UBotBuddy 331
If I'm not mistaken UBot uses xenocode and some AVs are triggered into thinking that it is a virus when in reality it isn't. Going forward, in the newer version of UBot (version 4) will not have this issue. If I learn that I am wrong I will update this post. In the meantime, you can add exceptions to your AV to stop the flagging. If my response is not sufficient then I suggest you post a ticket in our support site athttp://support.ubotstudio.com
Seth Turin 223
yeah it's just an unfortunate consequence of the security software we're using. ubot 4 will no longer use the software and I suspect the AV issues will go away.
UBotDev 276
Nice to hear that. Some of my clients complained that they are afraid to use the software, since this false positive. I also noticed that Malwarebytes reports suspicious connection, while working in Ubot Studio. Thanks for your advice BotBuddy! I really look forward to Ubot version 4. BTW, anyone has information on when it will be available?
danoctav 7
I have also warned with Trojan.FakeMS, for an exe bot compiled... Hope to not have problems if I run it!
Guest leahDyou
I did not get any of this on kaspersky. But you can make exclusions on your AV though.
