Compiled Bots Identified as Trojan

Hey,

 

I was wondering why are ubot compiled bots indentified as trojan (fakems) by Malwarebytes? I also heard some antivirus programs find it as virus... Any explanation?

I've had the same exact issue, on more than one occasion.

 

I also noticed that after running a compiled bot, a bunch of 'hidden files' are created and placed into the application folder. .dll files mostly, at least 4 of them.

 

I'd love an explanation.

If I'm not mistaken UBot uses xenocode and some AVs are triggered into thinking that it is a virus when in reality it isn't. Going forward, in the newer version of UBot (version 4) will not have this issue. If I learn that I am wrong I will update this post.

 

In the meantime, you can add exceptions to your AV to stop the flagging.

Nice to hear that. Some of my clients complained that they are afraid to use the software, since this false positive.

 

I also noticed that Malwarebytes reports suspicious connection, while working in Ubot Studio. Thanks for your advice BotBuddy! I really look forward to Ubot version 4. BTW, anyone has information on when it will be available?
