Help with Send Key Field Chosen

Hey Guys,

 

I'm trying to create a bot that will update stats from cpa networks. I'm having trouble saving a csv download from the network. I've attached a short screen capture that show what i'm doing and where i'm stuck.

the command you're looking for is "set dialog text". I actually just made a quick tutorial for someone earlier tonight on this very command. what you're doing is slightly different, but the principal is the same. here you go:

I went ahead and implemented the code as you laid out in your tutorial. It's still not working. I've created another screen cast to show what I'm doing. Hopefully someone can shed some light on this...

Seth, I tried to duplicate the same thing, I think the issue is that the file/save box is NOT a dialog box, thus ubot has no control over it w/ the click dialog or set dialog.

 

That leaves no way that I can think of to accomplish such a simple task.

 

I'm pretty sure it's not possible, along w/ the host of other things it can't do, I see

many threads w/ the same issue, and no help.

If you're looking for a cool way to get your affiliate stats though

 

http://www.statsjunky.com/ amongst 4 or 5 other similar services, can download/aggregate all your affiliate stats in 1 place..

 

but that's pretty much what you'll get here - workarounds, not solutions. (* ps. still bitter over no UA changing, rendering UB completely useless for my purposes over such a trivial matter)

sorry to edit your post, but I don't want people to get confused when they read it. the save window is a dialog box, and the set dialog text should work. if it doesn't, then this might be a bug that I'll need to fix. can one of you guys upload the bot you made to demonstrate the issue?

Seth I can't upload the bot as it's logging into a personal account to download information. But I have included the screen capture above of the issue I'm having. Please let me know if I can give you further information.

I quickly made another bot that goes to a torrent site and tries to save a torrent. Similar boxes appear. I've uploaded...obviously the object here would be to click save, name the file, save the file.

thanks for making me the bot to test with. I think that what is happening here is that by the time the file dialog comes up, there are actually two dialogs, and ubot doesn't know which one to send information to. unfortunately, this might not be an easy thing to solve. I will need to think of an artful solution. I'll try to implement a fix soon.

Being able to save files is a big feature.

 

Seth, I think in iMacros, they access the save-target-as command, instead of using a save command which triggers the intermediary save/open dialog.

 

That might solve the problem of two dialog boxes.
