Add Cut And Duplicate Context Menu Options

Recommended Posts

Currently, you can copy/paste a node, but there's no way to cut a node. This is inconvenient because if you want to move a node, it means you need to copy/paste it then manually delete the original node. Obviously, I realize you can move a node using drag/drop, but this is inconvenient when you want to move it to the end of a long list of nodes. Also, it's currently not possible to move a node between tabs. Drag/drop doesn't work, so your only option is copy/paste/delete.

Finally, I'd like to propose adding a duplicate option to the context menu. There are many times when you need to duplicate a node and currently, the only option is to copy/paste it.

What we are doing in this situation to copy multiple nodes is to create a loop and put all the nodes you want to copy then copy the loop command and paste it anywhere.

If you want a cut feature you need to purchase pash advanced ubot2 plugin. i have that option and other useful keyboard shortcuts.

I'm talking about copy/paste within the UBot Studio UI. I don't see how creating a loop would help with this, so I think you must be talking about copy/paste within the end-user application.

Also, cut/paste and duplicate are standard functions that exist within most Windows applications, so it seems ridiculous to have to purchase a third party plugin to get this functionality. The UBot development team could probably add it with a few lines of code. It should be built-in to the UI.

what's wrong with code view?

Absolutely nothing is wrong with code view; I use it all the time. However, in no way does this address the issue. UBot includes both code view and a GUI. Sometimes it's more convenient work in code view, sometimes in GUI view. Cut/paste functionality exists in pretty much every other Windows application on Earth and UBot is not some $39 piece of shareware, it's a $1,000 application that's supposed to be a professional development environment. Therefore, I don't think I'm asking for much here!

Welcome to ubot. lol

Try to suggest that to bug tracker and maybe they will add it as a "feature".
