I need a bot that will use IE browser to search Google for a term, and copy the first listing URL. Must have the ability to search up to 100 terms at once, and then export all the links to excel.

open 100 tabs in your favorite browser.... Then save that session, close the browser and re-open it so that all 100 tabs all fire at once.

 

Just a little test for you to see if your computer/internet is even capable of such a feat.

Thanks for the information. In this case, perhaps 30 tabs would be a better choice?

What you are looking for is multi-theading.

 

It is very powerful, but often misunderstood.

 

For example, if Kreatus builds a program for you that supports 1000 threads, that means that the program is perfectly capable of doing those 1000 things all at the same time.

 

However, just because the software will do it does not mean that your computer or internet would be capable of handling that.

 

So, what multi-threading does is allow the user to (through testing different thread amounts) determine the absolute fastest speed he can achieve on his computer.

 

Too many threads will cause random process failures and make you think the software is broken when it is not.

 

Kreatus is by far one of the best ubot coders on this forum - He will be able to help you determine the best specs for your upcoming software.
