Database idea

I had a thought but I wanted to run it by you guys first.

 

I saw a couple of threads in here where there was some interest in some level of database for UBots.

 

I went to a couple of the free sites (Google Docs being one of them) and I was not impressed with how to get it to work with UBot (Google Docs was a no go).

 

So I hit up a friend of mine to come up with a VERY simple textbased system and it be simple in operation.

 

Well, it is becoming more simple but this did pop the question in my mind.

 

Does anyone else see a need in such a simple system?

You can import your extracted data directly into MySQL from a CSV file already. This gives you a free option using a very robust database platform.

You can use the MySQL workbench to administer the system or there is a web based admin solution too (phpMyAdmin I think it is). As far as getting the data into the database itself from the CSV file, it is a one line command.

I am aware of all that. My intent was to create a dead easy solution so that users (buying my bot) did not have to go to such an extreme at getting something setup. I think I will just try another avenue. Thanks for the comments.
