Bot-Factory 602
Nedhulton, thanks a lot for beeing an ExBrowser User. We appreciate that. I saw you already opened a support ticket, sent an email and posted here in the forum. This is not necessary and will not speed up our reply. It will even slow it down because I have to read everything and connect the parts. Opening a support ticket is enough. And I normally reply within 48 hours (Mo-Fr). I don't do this full time and I normally don't work weekends (sometimes I do, but don't expect it please). And I'm based in germany which might be a different time zone. Please keep that in mind guys when requesting support. Kindest regardsDan
Bot-Factory 602
Just as a quick update. This is a compiled bot. And there are a lot of reasons why a compiled Ubot Bot can crash. There is no evidence so far that ExBrowser is responsible for this crash. I'm in contact with the user to get more informations about this issue. A lot of people are using ExBrowser without any problems. If you have questions or need help, please go towww.bot-factory.comKindest regardsDan

nedhulton 0
I am thinking of trying the following: (1) Running the script from Ubot (without compiling) (2) Using FireFox rather than Chrome. Any advice, highly appreciated.
Bot-Factory 602
I am thinking of trying the following: (1) Running the script from Ubot (without compiling) (2) Using FireFox rather than Chrome. Any advice, highly appreciated. If you can reproduce a crash in Ubot Studio when you run ExBrowser Commands, please let me know.I need the Ubot Version, Browser Version, ExBrowser Version and the code that creates the crash. Thank you very muchDan
nedhulton 0
I am using Ubot 4 and ExBrowser Chrome. Ubot code attached. spit1.ubot
nedhulton 0
It does not crash instantly. It crashes after several hours.
Bot-Factory 602
It does not crash instantly. It crashes after several hours. And why do you think it has anything to do with ExBrowser? Compiled bots crash from time to time. By the way. Ubot V4 is not supported anymore. And was never tested or supported with ExBrowser Plugin.Maybe try with V5. And just between us two here :-).. Using a bot for multiple hours. And than maybe also with Threading... was never a really good idea or 100% stable. So this is nothing I can fix. Sorry. Dan
nedhulton 0
OK, I have compiled in Ubot 5 and will test
nedhulton 0
Would you say that running the script from Ubot (without compiling to an exe) is generally more stable?
nedhulton 0
The crashes are all due to the exbrowser scrape attribute command.

nedhulton 0
If exbrowser had something equivalent to try / accept in python that would be invaluable.
Bot-Factory 602
Hello. All ExBrowser Commands are using exception handling internally. So if something happens within an ExBrowser Method, we intercept that. But I have no control over Ubot behavior at all. If you read the forum, there are many reports of bots crashing from time to time if they run for a long time. There are many reasons for that. If you can reproduce the issue with the latest Ubot Version, and can show me a way to reproduce the issue, I can take a look. But I don't think that there is much I can do about it. Maybe try to restart your bot from time to time. There are ways to automate that. I think there are some free plugins available who can help you with that.
