illmill 87
How can I export my contacts on linkedin through UBS. I used to have this working, but it looks like Linkedin changed something. http://www.linkedin.com/people/export-settings (you need to be logged in to your linkedin account) Change file doesn't work. You have to click the button, then break the captcha, then only your download starts, but I'm not sure how to tell it where to save the file. Thanks.
illmill 87
Really? No one has tried to do this in linkedin? I guess it really is an untapped market then. I better get busy
Kev 69
Their API I believe allows you access. You can also download all your contacts via csv I believe.
illmill 87
Good idea. I didn't even think of going through their api, but my bot violates their terms of service and I have to submit it for approval so won't this raise a red flag?
Kev 69
Try exporting the contact address book from here: http://www.linkedin.com/addressBookExport (being signed in obviously). I just did it and got 3000+ emails from it in a csv file, so it does work.
illmill 87
Did you try that through UBS or just a regular browser? It looks like the same as http://www.linkedin.com/people/export-settings You first click export, THEN enter captcha, then it downloads.
Kev 69
Regular browser, but I'll try it in UBS now and see how it goes.
VaultBoss 310
Pay attention that a .csv file is, of course, comma separated, BUT some people do USE commas in their descriptions, addresses, etc...As a result, the file cannot be used directly as a source for automation, unless it is handbrushed first and corrected.
