  1. Hello all,

In the year 2020 I am hunting something big in terms of establishing a valuable business service which is dependent of having UBot Studio and EXBrowser up and running.

So having ExBrowser up to date and working plays a crucial role in my current project.

This is why I believe in the value of ExBrowser so much and that you should believe in it as well if you also heavily rely on it.

This is why I hope that everyone of you that can afford it, will also subscribe to V2 of ExBrowser. I believe that will be better for all the community in the long run.

Even those who can not afford it right now, may benefit from the ongoing improvements in EXBrowser V2 in the future.

  2. Yes. Making a living as a freelance developer is not exactly easy, it's hard.

Without funding, innovation will be minimal, if happening at all. Great products need great people that are ready to put their life energy into it.

In the case of modern browsers, they are indeed very complex and ever changing software.

In this scenario it seems like the only possible way is to break with the "one time payment" condition in order to bridge the gap and make it happen.

  3. Hello Dan!

Thank you very much for listening.

The license callback for PRO Edition compiled bots will be removed with next update.

As I understand, your decision today will give us back all the freedom we loved in ExBrowser V1 compiled bots with ExBrowser V2 PRO Plan?

I celebrate this decision A LOT.

For me personal you dont need to rush through the updates, I can wait a few days. Much more important is, that we will receive best quality solutions from you as in the past.

Made my weekend start best! Thank you.

  4. Hey you! The UBot community needs your opinion now!

If you have purchased the exBrowser V1 plugin in the past, please cast your vote here about how the future of it should look like.

How exBrowser V1 should be treated?

    Cast your vote here: https://www.strawpoll.me/19243490

    • Please give your honest opinion asap.
    • You can choose multiple answers.

Disclaimer: I made this poll without any consent of anyone else. It was created just in order to hopefully find a way together, how we all may have the best possible future with this. So try to see it as a honorable approach, be fair and only give us your honest opinion once.

    Thanks and greetings

  5. I support Dan.

I was thinking hard about this whole exBrowser situation and how things should be in my opinion, so here are my two cents on the topic:

    • Has Dan deserved to be supported in order to keep this project alive and up to date? YES
    • Has Dan delivered us the most superior solution out there for utilizing selenium framework (FF & Chrome) in UBot? YES (because all other solutions come short in functionality, feel free to prove me wrong)
    • Has Dan proven in the past to work as well organized as possible on this project? YES
    • Do I want to pay more, compared to the exBrowser 1 plugin? NO (I want not in general but I absolutely understand that maintaining this solution is a hassle. I recently cracked a Firefox Build in order to prevent Javascript Browser Fingerprinting, Automation Detection, WebRTC and other leaks. I can tell you that this browsers are one of the most frequent updated and ever changing pieces of software. Firefox consits of over more than 12.500.000 lines of code, it is very complex at each end)
    • Do I think that exBrowser 1 should be kept up and running for long? YES (it is a nice backup and can be used for completely independent compiled bots utilizing only a specific browser version)
    • Do I think the announced and pressing 3 days valid coupon code and the whole communication around releasing V2 was a bit messy? YES

My bottom line is, that developers which have proven to be able to deliver best-in-class solutions for my favorite rapid coding platform (uBot) deserve to be supported by me in general.

In my opinion compiled bots really should be able to work independently of a licensing system FOREVER as they did when freshly compiled. This is my only point of strict criticism that I have to make here.

Besides that I am happy to support Dan on this project and I am thankful if Ubot Studio and the surrounding ecosystem stays alive and maintained.

    Thanks and greetings

  6. Only one thing: Please change the notification dialog.

This should be much more discrete, keeping it white label. I think we as your customers would deserve that.

Some neutral notification would be better, e.g. "the drivers for your browser have changed, please contact your developer".

In best case, give us the option to define this notification text our self. Because not every customer is using the software in english language, also the ubotters dont want to be identified as such constantly by using the exbrowser plugin which throws this standardized (back traceable) notifications.

Please give us this freedom. Thanks.

  7. Hi Dan

I hope you guys will leave the "ExBrowser Download Support Files" Command able to use local files exclusively, like described here:

    plugin command("ExBrowser.dll", "ExBrowser Download Support Files", "{$special folder("Application")}\\chrome1324.zip", "ce64673212f85d13d85323ed7ea59295")

Because I found this to be the least annoying solution :) (in my case and opinion).

It also brings a nice side effect, which is, that customers can not upgrade their browser versions indefinetly and using compiled bots indefinetly - on every major update we as ubot developers are in control, because the customers rely on us software vendors to update their support files locally in order to use the bots for extended periods of time.

I like that. In this way it can be used as a "light alternative" to licensing systems.

So please always keep allowing the "ExBrowser Download Support Files" Command to use local files, as it is able right now.

    Thank you!

  8. I simply always include the required file inside a local folder, shipped with the compiled bots and just point to that file, like this:

    plugin command("ExBrowser.dll", "ExBrowser Download Support Files", "{$special folder("Application")}\\chrome1324.zip", "ce64673212f85d13d85323ed7ea59295")

You can just point to a local file (ZIP, including the support files) together with the matching checksum for it and voila  ;)

No need to download anything then. Just in case of Browser updates in the future just update the linked ZIP file.

Hope that can be helpful for some!

  9. Hello.

Every license comes with 3 license slots. So you can run it on 3 different PCs. And each license can be reset (moved to a different PC) every 14 days.

Are you changing development PCs so quickly? Or why do you need to move the license faster?

If this is a rare case, then you can always open a ticket and I can manually reset it for you.

    Kindest regards

    Dan

Hi Dan, thanks for the reply.

In my case I use a Xen virtualizer (it is in some ways compareable with Virtual Box or VMWare) on a notebook with 32 GB RAM. In this virualized environemt I run multiple OS at the same time, on 1 physical machine only. I have half a dozen OS running at same time on only one PC (Win 7, Win 7, Debian Linux etc.).

The license system now is treating each virtualized OS as one PC, this is causing the problem for me.

I rely on virtualization heavily (in this way I can just create a fresh Windows 7, or 10) on demand, so I run in this "license wait time" issue quite easily.

I rely on virtualization because of security. If one Windows OS might be compromised or "unclean", I just delete the virtual machine and create a new one as a replacement.

If it will happen again, I'll happily send a support ticket ;-)

  10. Hi Code Docta,

Why Wait, You can reset your license by login HERE

The system is preventing you from reactivating a license "too fast". If you try to activate the same license "too fast" on your new install PC, it will state "wait for xx days".

I came into the same problem when I was installing it on my same PC (but in virtual machine). It made me also wait for quite some days or even weeks.

  11. As someone who has no experience using phantomJS, are there any resources you could point me towards to make my script phantomJS compatible?

Thanks, I really had not even heard of the type of browser before fiddling with uBot.

    Thanks for your time!

Within the blue colored "ExBrowser Launcher" Command, simply change the browser option to "PhantomJS".

P.S.: To find out more, this Command Reference PDF might be helpful to you: https://exbrowser.s3.amazonaws.com/Exbrowser-Command-Reference.pdf

  12. If you need a hidden browser you can use phantomJS at the moment. That's working fine.

    Dan

Sorry that I have to mix in here again. In my honest opinion, PhantomJS has it's weaknesses compared to Chrome (stability and compatibility).

I can not see how PhantomJS could be a satisfactory "replacement" for the currently missing "hidden Chrome Browser" functionality.

  13. In current ExBrowser 1.3.1.6 the Function "$ExBrowser Run Hidden" is not working, instead it is giving error message "Hider currently disabled in Chrome and FF" and is canceling the process.

Can this be fixed? Any way to get back the ability to run hidden?

  14. Hello Fellow Botters!

Does anyone know, if it is possible to influence the CEF Browser Command Line Parameters, e.g. on startup of compiled bots?

If you type this inside the URL bar of CEF Browser:

    chrome://version/

You will get something like this:

    CEF	3.2623.1401.gb90a3be
    Chromium	49.0.2623.110
    OS	Windows
    WebKit	537.36
    JavaScript	4.9.385.33
    Flash	11.2.999.999
    User Agent	Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/49.0.2623.110 Safari/537.36
    Command Line	"C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\UBot Studio\Browser\5.9.50\UBotCefSharpBrowser.exe" --browser-subprocess-path=CefSharp.BrowserSubprocess.exe --no-sandbox --lang=en-US --log-file="C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\UBot Studio\Browser\5.9.50\debug.log" --locales-dir-path=".\locales" --enable-system-flash=1 --process-per-tab=1 --disable-web-security=1 --allow-file-access-from-files=1 --allow-file-access=1 --ppapi-flash-path="C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\PepperFlash\26.0.0.131\pepflashplayer.dll" --disable-gpu=1 --disable-gpu-compositing=1
    Module Path	C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\UBot Studio\Browser\5.9.50\libcef.dll
    Cache Path

I would like to be able to influence the Command Line Parameters like --disable-gpu=0 or --disable-gpu-compositing=0 (as seen above, end of the line).

Does anyone know, if we can influence such parameters (in compiled bots)?

Extra question: can CEF Browser settings influence UI HTML Panel?

    Any insight is welcome. Thanks.

  15. Put the code that calls the jquery files between the closing body and html tags:

        </body>

           <script src=\"http://code.jquery.c...-1.10.0.min.js\"></script>

            <!--<script src=\"http://code.jquery.c...e-1.2.1.min.js\"></script>-->

    </html>

UNBELIEVABLE! This resolves a whole mount everest of strange bugs (compiled bots behaving differently than in UBot itself).

Most JavaScript in UI HTML Panel will cause major headaches without using this unconventional work around.

Holy Cow.. now all the JS really works inside the Panel as expected.

Many thanks for sharing this info @darryl561
