  1. You know what ? I hope i won't have to redo lots of the bots because of some glitches when importing them into UB5.

To tell you the truth, i don't really create new stuff these days because of this (like many of you i guess)

Bahhh, i could always continue to debug old bots using UB4 ?

I mean i got the software. It won't "die" when UB5 comes out right ?

By the way, are you guys still using UB 3.5 (didn't get this one when it came out) ?

Here is supports answer to my question.

Question: Will i be able to use ubot 4 when ubot 5 comes out and can i have them both installed on the same computer?

    Answer:

You will only get UBot 5 if you are subscribed to updates or your free period of updates are in effect. UBot 5 is an update. Upgrades will not allow you to use UBot 5 for free. You will be able to keep UBot 4 on the same computer and use them simultaneously. The two computers one user rule for licenses still apply, so please avoid sharing your license with either version.

Seems like you can keep 4.0 and 5.0 on your computer and use them both as long as your paying the monthly fee to get ubot 5.0.

  2. Is there a coupon out there for the Standard version?  I have a friend that I am trying to sell on it.

If your on the email list I believe Seth sent something out indicating if you convince somebody to buy ubot, he will give you a free upgrade to pro version. This might have been 3 or 4 weeks ago and Im not sure how the offer was structured but I think he just said email him with details prior to having your friend make the purchase. This is not a coupon for him, but at least you will get a free upgrade. Then again shows u have Dev version so i wasted my time making this post :). Maybe it will help somebody else.

  3. You guys are making me feel like i need to upgrade. The 33% off coupon I got is enticing just wish i had more time spent with learning the features in the standard edition, but i might take the plunge anyway.

I saw a UI video on the new ubot 5dev version and wondered if the UI builder is powerful enough to replace the ones users are currently

buying from 3rd parties or if they have there own unique features that still stand out from the one ubot5 dev version will have.

  4.

If you don't want to see a specific person's signature, the "Block" button is your friend. :) It only takes about 10 seconds

I think im fighting an uphill and losing battle on this because so many ubot users are marketers. My point of view is that I shouldn't have to block them, this forum is setup to help ubot users, not affiliates, not people selling ubot related products so I dont think any advertising slots is owed to them regardless of if they are helpful or not. I do think it should be fine that they plug ubot related products in sigs/posts when relevant, but that is not nearly as important as remaining focused on helping users learn ubot. The way sigs work in a standard forum should not be compared to the ubot underground because this is more of a private forum.

This forum has nothing to do with making money for its members (unless there is a sub forum) aside from what you can do by learning/mastering this software. Basically I dont think users should be subject to having to filter out the nonsense like they do in a typical forum because they paid the price of admission.. Thats my view and Im sticking to it.  :P   But like mateit said its all up to Seth anyway. I feel that even voters in this pole who voted to allow affiliate links most likely have monetary motives to vote for affiliate links in this pole and not because its whats best for the community so should those really count? They are likely biased and not looking out for ubot users learning experience (kind of like letting the wolves guard the meat), but how they can leverage the forum to earn money witch is not the goal of the forum, and my only point is that this forum should be focused on ubot users learning experience, everything else is a distance 2nd. I realize Im not going to win over any people that like to post affiliate links, but I have said my piece. Happy botting! :D

  5. This year I am trying to get some skills unrelated to IM so I dont have to rely on my programmer so much, so far im happy with http://www.udemy.com they seem to have a large selection of courses (not only programming related) you can take. Don't pay full price for courses, you can always find a 50% off coupon, and at times 90% of specific courses. So far im happy with the few courses I have taken, but still reference youtube as there is so much learning material on there its one of the best (although unorganized) learning resources. I might check out the sites mentioned above (although i think i joined 1 of them a couple years back) as im determined to not give up on learning to program this time, but with about 10 failures to grasp it over the years my odds are slim, just sticking with mastering html/css right now before moving on to php.  Of all the training sites I have seen I think Udemy has one of the best training setups for a broad base of skills people might want to learn. Way ahead of what lynda's training offers last time I checked and if they could improve the interaction between teachers/students this site could have a monopoly on learning almost anything.

Had to come back in here and mention this site. Not sure how good it is for learning, but its damn cool to watch some advanced coding built and see how it looks along the way. http://thecodeplayer.com

  6.

TJ is by far one of the most helpful members on this forum.  The least he deserves is to fill his sig with as many links as the forum rules allow.  I believe most, if not all of his products in his signature are his OWN creations, and directly apply to Ubot.

Yeah, maybe TJ wasn't who I should have used as an example because I know he's one of the most helpful guys, but I saw his sig as i was posting, and it wasn't really to target him, just was pointing out how annoying it is to see these large sigs. If this was a forum that didn't have a software/product I purchased tied directly to it I wouldn't feel the same. I do agree that he should be able to plug his products in the forum sigs, and even in post's when the topic is relevant for him to plug them. I have seen his post's and he's very good at helping people and tying in his free/pay products in his posts in an effective and helpful manner, but I think he's a minority because most affiliates/marketers do not poses the skills and discipline to not be blatant about spamming.

this is a forum for Ubot customers to get help and to help others.  So maybe any product advertised in the forum members signatures should be strictly related to Ubot

Definitely agree with this, ubot specific products in sigs dont bother me, in fact they help, was merely pointing out the large distracting banners and a lot of links annoy me in this specific forum.

  7. LOl Ya I read the post that your refering to on this forum... He never even bothered to spin his article... I geuss he's waiting for that new spinner feature in Ubot5... heres the original article without the affilate links... ROFL...

    http://www.ubotstudio.com/forum/index.php?/topic/14883-stay-focus-and-get-your-bot-project-finished/

I thought that was the case and did a copyscape on it right after I saw the post but found no dupes and didn't feel like putting in more time to find were he pinched if from, and this was from an active forum member.. This is a perfect example why affiliate  links shouldn't be allowed in post's and possibly sigs. It motivates odd/bad behavior and screws up the focus of the forum because affiliate marketers are an annoying bunch that will always push the rules envelope. Thats fine, just go do it on your own sites or the plethora of forums filled with people that didn't' buy ubot.

I mean even if you look at sigs in the fourm, isn't a signature suppose to be basically 1 text link to an affiliate product or the persons own website but affiliate marketers always go overboard with these. Look at TJ or some others on this forum. I count 5 hyperlinks in his sig, and there might be others who put even more info into the sig. This is distracting and makes forum pages look like a banner farm. Just my opinion. From what i can tell TJ makes great products, but I have the ability to understand what he and others sell without the need for large mesmerizing images and 5 backlinks shoved in my face sometimes 5 or 10 times in 1 thread, and so do other affiliate marketers.

From the voting It looks like im in the minority with my militant stance on this, but I guess I just separate ubot from my own marketing. I bought this product with a general goal to help my own websites, but without a specific goal and feel this forum should help me utilize this product as best it can. Allowing me and others new to ubot to do this will help me make the decision to upgrade to pro/dev or buy more products related to ubot (TJ and others), and without a lot of distractions I can do this better/faster. I think a strict policy on this helps new ubotters keep focused and probably helps MODS/ADMINS spend less time cleaning up junk, and gives them more time to post helpful info in the forum.

  8. Wise decision and will help me at least from having to sift threw and decipher the credibility of posts. I think no affiliate links should ever be placed in in forum like this (except ubot specific help products in sigs). I have come across posts like this 3 or 4 times sense I have been a member, and it does cheapen the forum and the main product, When many users have spent 700+ extra's+(29$ a month) already they dont want to have to do an investigation into posters motives in order to get some good info to learn a product they have already paid for, and still paying for.

I dont have to spend my time moderating post's like Gogetta, but from my point of view users making ubot specific help products seem to

be very helpful to mention many times, and I may not have ever known about them if makers where only allowed to mention them in the sales thread so Im on the fence about what I think might be best to do with those, but if its a constant headache for mods to keep sellers in line, then I have no problem with these people being forced to work within their sales threads. After all is said and done this forum is to help people that already have the core product learn to use it, and not get constantly pushed for more bells and whistles, even though I like bells and whistles sometimes. :)

  9. Thanks for pointing that out. I did change the file to build1.0.exe and that allowed the bot to open.

This means I have to add the .exe to all bots created, and ones already on my computer, witch isn't

a big deal, but would like ubot to do this as it did before. for now looks like adding this when saving

the compiled bot is the solution.

  10. Hi,

Today Im unable to open compiled bots, these include bots I have made, or those I have downloaded from the forum, all of witch worked fine before today. I notice the file association doesn’t seem to be working (see image) as well as the icon used to launch bots created with ubot has changed. Ubot studio itself is working fine, as well as bots ran within it. I can launch all other applications on my computer so I think this is only a ubot or .net issue. I do remember having an auto update from Microsoft for my XP OS yesterday, however I can’t say that is the reason, although it seems very possible.

I have tried the following to fix this.

    1. Uninstalled/Reinstalled ubot
    2. Restarted comp multiple times
    3. Ran a .net framework repair tool from Microsoft. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=30135

Im trying to hold off on system restore until I hear back from ubot support in case this is a known issue because I want to make sure I can update my operating system. I thought maybe if I can simply find what file is suppose to be associated with ubot programs shown in screenshot it might start working again but I have no clue what should open the bots.

  11. Im just fiddling around with ubot, and got this code working sort of. This is producing the 2 columns with appropriate data in the csv file, but im getting inconsistent numbers for the “firstname” account data. Sometimes it gives me 98 rows worth of names, sometimes 94 and a few numbers in between, the email field is always giving 100 rows. If I change firstname account data type to “Password” for example it will give me the expected 100 rows of passwords every time, but fails to do so with other types of data, and most concerning to me is that its not consistently wrong using the name field. Anybody know what im doing wrong to get these types of inconsistent results?..

    clear list(%firstname)
    loop(100) {
        reset account("Any")
        set(#firstnames, $account data("First Name"), "Global")
add item to list(%firstname, #firstnames, "Delete", "Global")
        add list to table as column(&nameemail, 0, 0, %firstname)
    }
    clear list(%email)
    loop(100) {
        reset account("Any")
        set(#email, $account data("Email"), "Global")
add item to list(%email, #email, "Delete", "Global")
        add list to table as column(&nameemail, 0, 1, %email)
    }
    create folder($special folder("Desktop"), "testubot")
    save to file("{$special folder("Desktop")}/testubot/test.csv", &nameemail)

  12. Not sure if there is a solution to this, but the only ubot app I use does this pretty frequently. You can try this:

Automatically Close ubot browser.exe (free, but didn't work for my issue)

I dont know what causes this to happen, if its memory resources getting to high causing the browser.exe to crash

then maybe a paid plugin like this will help free up assets and prevent the crashes. Im new to ubot so have no

clue if the reason browser.exe crashes is because of resource problems or not..

Ubot OS Addins I suggest asking the maker if this might help before buying, because browser.exe crashes may have nothing to do with memory at all.

  13. Having tried to learn to code many times and forgotten almost 100% of it quickly this seems like the only tool that could give me the freedom to be creative and actually produce a helpful tool for either my business or others.

Mostly I plan to use it to try and explore seo benefits by finding little niche's not covered by software made for the masses and doing this

would put me ahead of the game, if im able to become somewhat proficient at using ubot.

I think even at the very beginner level im currently at with ubot I could probably come up with 10 or so solid idea's

for software that could help me, or could be sold to others, but idea's are pretty easy to come up with, the fact

that I have a tool (if i learn it) which could realistically get these idea's implemented instead of just sitting on the great idea shelf

like most gives ubot the potential to be the best piece of software I have ever used.

  14. First post, just purchased ubot  weeeeee

I actually got sidetracked while using a ubot created product (FCS networker) and that lead me to this tread to solve an issue i was having, (and ended up buying ubot). I had this browser.exe issue every 10 to 60 minutes using FCS on 2 different machines/operating systems and it would stop account creation until i clicked to dismiss it,.

Anyway, I don't know how common this error is, but the bot in this thread didn't solve my problem, and I am concerned this would affect bots I hope to someday develop with ubot studio.

I want my bots to work continuously without stopping, and maybe somebody here can tell me if something like this is possible:

    -If browser.exe crashes
    -auto save current state/progress

-Close bot application (maybe using this )

    -restart bot

-reinstate last task and progress where it left off

-If browser.exe crashes again, repeat this process.

I haven't a clue about how to use ubot right now, nor do I understand any kind of coding, but I am concerned i might not

find a work around to enable me to build bots that can run continuously and reliably without human intervention for days/weeks/months.

Anybody know if this or similar is possible?
