Hotmail wait till page loads not working?

Recommended Posts

For example if I log into use nav to hotmail.com when i'm already logged in and want to click on inbox, it wont work because it passes up the wait till page loads command. Found a couple spots where it does this in hotmail as i'm sure many other place do. Any way to make this work without using just a standard delay? I doubt theres a way to fix this but thought I would ask anyways!

(I also tried a "wait for" command, same thing though)

Yeah I know, it works fine for most pages but I've run across things like hotmail (a lot of pages within seem to do it) where it doesn't work correctly.

I just had an idea. I would load the website and record it in a video. Do that a couple of times and then watch all of the different versions. Look to see if there is some text that appears last on the page.

If there is some common text then focus your "wait for" on that text. It should work.

I had a similar issue with clicking links in Fantastico. I've found putting a 'wait finish' after your 'wait for' will help guarantee that the page has finished loading. You can also use a delay to accomplish the same task but remember that the delay may or may not work depending on the current internet connection speed of the system you are running your bot on (which may fluctuate as well). This method slowed down my bot a little bit but its worth it to keep my bot from jumping the gun. Hope that helps.
