Hello all,

 

I'm trying to open a text file to copy and paste it into The Best Spinner. I need to do this for a bunch of files sequentially (open, copy, paste, spin, save to diff file).

 

I've got pretty much everything else figured out, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to call a .txt file to open. Tried using UI open file, which didn't do much (maybe I'm misunderstanding how that works- the script reference isn't very helpful).

 

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

I think in terms of what you need, that's your best bet.

If you're confused, you can post your script and I can point you in the right direction.

 

 

Example: UI Open File.ubot

 

In this case, you can drag the field into the script, insert a read file constant and then insert the variable for the UI command in the second parameter window that pops up.

 

Browse for the file on the panel and then run the script to see the contents of the file pasted in the forum.
