Is It Worth Doing Virtualization In Desktop To Run Your Bots

Recommended Posts

hello friends

if one is running multiple bots at the same time, is it worth setting up virtualisation and running the bots independantly in each virtual box than running them all in the same os.

reason i ask is because i have just upgraded to an i7 4770, it has total 4 cores and 8 threads. But still my system  gets very very laggy sometimes to the point that i have to wait several seconds for characters to appear when i type and mouse pointer moving ultra slow, even when the task manager shows cpu at 30% usuage.

i have 16gb ram which only get used 50%. i have even disabled firewalls but still the same.

any thoughts ?

thnx

I would think that doing so will further exasperate the problem because you will be using even more system resources to run the virtual boxes.

You may want to consider picking up a couple of cheap windows vps's.

You do have these bots compiled that you are running... Correct?

Running via the editor uses a lot more resources than running via compiled exe.

I agree with Brutal, if you add VM's into the equation then you are just adding more to your resource usage,

plus essentially breaking your i7 up into 4 pieces making it less efficient, I guess it also depends on what the bot is doing,

although if your i7 is lagging then i suspect that any VPS will probably do the same due to shared resources,

but i cant comment on that to much as i dont use em lol

are you using the latest version of UBot mate ?

only asking as I get a lot of lagging when using the latest couple of versions (my specs are i7, 64GB RAM)

so maybe just reverting back to something like 5.9.0 might help
