Hi UBot Community and greetings to the advanced users (producers),

as an experienced ubot studio user today, which code examples would you recommend to fresh or intermediate users in order to teach them the most useful, powerful or efficient techniques?

It would be very helpful if some experienced users would be so generous to share some of their personal most recommended code samples with some fellow botters in order to learn and achieve a general mastery of the ubot software and capabilities.

Any recommended code samples, ressources or related ubot methodology advice will be highly appreciated.

I do not ask for a link to the ubot wiki (I assume we all have read it), with this question I intend to ask for your personal past experience and related code samples to teach about the techniques which you still really like to use often.

Thank you.

Use pashes example via google for code examples. Just replace html with free or whatnot.

Hi Edward the Second,

thanks for your advice. I was initially hoping for personal recommendations that are for sure up to date.

But I ll definetly follow your advice and "google/read my ass of" in the search for practical knowledge  :D sure.

But if anyone decides to share his personal favorite examples here, it still will be highly appreciated.

Thanks!

You can find some free scripts here just be wary of the date of the original post as a lot has changed over the years: http://network.ubots...ts-and-scripts/

I've had a lot of luck browsing around the links in peoples profiles - found quite a few older sources doing this, and although they may be defunct, just having something to look at and break down to the methodology has helped me more than anything else. Seeing 5 different ways to build and define just a simple login routine for the same site really lets you get a better idea of the scope of possiblities.

I'm gonna go ahead and echo PRO's statement here - Being a visual learner with a sizeable lack of thurough documentation, I realized a week or two ago that, although I have ideas for this and that, I am lacking the big picture of what uBot is capable of, and the numerous ways to go about it.

Any influential sources (or even just sources for practical knowledge and routine) are always appreciated.  Even if the source was written for a site that ceased to be 5+ years ago, seeing practical examples is always a huge "Ohhhhh!"  moment.  Big ol' thanks to those of you dropping old code, unused or unusable snippets etc without cost.  Having just shelled out a decent chunk change for uBot and comming into a forum that is half a wealth of knowledge and half a saleroom floor, everything and anything is appreciated until i wrap my head in, around and through uBot!

google automation league on Youtube,he has a video series for 101 beginners, thats what got me up on the horse

I like your enthusiasm,I see you rummaging around here for scripts and anything you can salvage, but trust yourself and do your own thing,

Ive never tried this before so I don't know but try google

 site:ubotstudio.com/forum "add list to list"

or randoms bits of Ubot code, should return pages of code

does actually work, thats pretty cool actually

site:ubotstudio.com/forum "Global" "Google"

‚Äč

returns loads of scripts, matches global, common in variables

you do have an excellent point in your problem

Ubot Mods consider archiving all code that is posted in the forum in a script search area,by basically auto adding any formatted <code>code here </code> to a archive of some sort would be pretty cool
