Have a question for when selling your bot

I was wondering when I sell the bot how do I make it so that it automatically gets saved into a folder in the program files or something similar when they download it? I want to be able to have one specific spot where they download it so that I can recognize where the bot is saved and save all "setting" files for the bot into the same folder

Hi,

 

I don't know if this is what you mean, but it's what i have done

in my bots...

 

Create a folder 'MyBot'

 

Within that folder is your bot and a another folder called

'settings'.

 

Now within your bot, save settings to the 'settings' folder by

using the 'special folder' command. So in this case it would be

'Application'.

 

So it should look something like this...

 

Application\Settings

 

Now it doesn't matter where they save your download.

I would rather everything stay in the same place makes it nicer. I got a great tip from meter suggesting I use an installer, anyone have any good ideas on some installers to use?

In UBot use function "special folder" and option "Application Folder", which will return location of your bot/exe file; this way you'll be able to get "ROOT" folder, no mater where the files are saved.

Oh I had the Application Folder confused with a preset folder already in windows like Program Files. Solid guys thanks

As you may noticed "Program Files" have a its own option under "special folder" function.

I did see that, but I thought Application was a folder similair to that type, not the folder that the bot is in... it's a kickass function
