What is the error exactly? Bot is not starting?
1. Antivirus Software that blocks the bot. A lot of AV engines give a false positive alert for Ubot executables. Nothing you can do about that. They have to whitelist your bot
2. Missing .Net 4.5 latest updates. (This can happen if they don't have an officially licensed windows version. Because if it's not genius they can't download the necessary .Net updates
3. Non english characters in the folder path from where they try to start the bot. This can happen if your customer is running a non english OS.
I think that covers 99% of the issues I had in the field with my bots.
Besides coding errors and bugs of course :-)

Thanks for the reply Dan,
they cant get my bot to actually start,
only about 4 out of 80 are saying the same thing, everyone else is having no issues at all

I have already been through everything including things you have mentioned,
including compiling with other version of Ubot.
its probably worth mentioning i am using a few plugins (Advanced Ubot, UbotLocker, NewgenUI etc )
i was initially thinking that they needed extra files because i was using plugins, but if everyone else using the bot doesnt need them then it cant be that
Im usually pretty good at resolving these sorts of issues but on this occasion im still left scratching my head lol
Is it worth contacting Ubot support ?

I have a customer who can not get a bot to work,
we have tried everything in the book so far but im stumped,
I had him send me the log.txt file from hist Ubot folder,
maybe someone can help me out a little

Hi TJ,
can you tell me if the "browser size" will lock the browser even when it is out of view ?
for example,
if a bot was made so all you can see is HTML UI and browser size stays at whatever set
im asking as this is really the only issue ive never been able to get past,
because some bots will stick at a certain point because the browser isnt showing a page properly so cant move on (or waits until timeout)
but if this plugin fixes this then life would be marvelous
if it does do this then i need to add to my plugin wishlist
(getting longer by the day lol)

Attached is source code to License.dll, which handles entering of licenses and updates. You need Visual C# Express 2010 to edit and compile it, and ILMerge to merge the exe and DLL produced by compilation.
Aymen has agreed to make this changes to UbotLocker public. I currently have them saved to another computer, so soon as I have access to that computer I'll post that a well!

was wondering,
would it be possible for someone to do a small 2 min tutorial for this,
not necessarily the editing of the forms but the merge process,
I think this might be usefull for the less tech savy users,
I could probably manage to do the Visual studio editing etc, but ive never used ILMerge before
I know thats what google is for, but it would be good to take some guess work out

It seems i cannot get the auto update feature to work,
I have created a few test licenses and i followed the instructions to the letter but am still not being notified of an update,
can some one help,

After testing, I found that Ubot 5 has changed. Load patterns
The reason you can not use this command.
This command requires the load with Ubot (or before Ubot).
To use this command, you must Compile with Ubot 4.
note
There is currently no way to fix this. Because this command must be run before, but now Ubot Ubot load later.

ive just compiled it with ubot 4 and im getting the exact same result
perhaps it just my pc, i guess i can live with the border its not the end of the world
out of interest, ..
ive seen the video you made showing this working,
can you tell me if i get this to work will "all" the borders be removed .. including the top ?

Ill start with saying that this is even better than i thought it was going to be
ok, i have run into only 1 issue, nothing serious but worth mentioning, ...
I have a bot im working on, and it is longer/taller than any other bots i have made,
but when i added it to the UI builder i noticed that the bottom was cropped out of view,
i then attempted to edit the UI "height" to compensate but it seems there is a limit as no matter what size i set this value, the UI height remains the same,
here is an image to help clarify this, .. (in this particular screen shot the UI height has been set to 999px)

This isnt a major issue in any way shape or form as 99.9% of my bots dont come anywhere near this size,
i just thought best to let you know just in-case there is a workaround or fix.
as for EVERYTHING else ......... Perfect !

EDIT : I had to come back here as i got a little excited, ..
Early tests here are showing great results, now i just need to test on a few different pc's as thats where my problems start to arise,
out of interest is it normal for the ubot built in image recognition to fail on other users machines ?
only asking as it always works flawless for me but constantly get reports from users stating it has failed and missed an image.
anyway, just thinking out loud really, ..

yes there is an "Index" option http://www.ubotstudio.com/forum/public/style_images/master/attachicon.gifCapture.JPG for that exact purpose. Once you click on index you will be able to send any element completely forward or back, or to any position you want.
Also with the "Edit" option you can edit the full html of any element, which allows for many extra customizing options, particularly if you know a little html and css, which you obviously do using Dreamweaver.

I have never used the image recognition,but I didn't know it is actual image recognition,could someone please clarify?
1. if you scrape the document text for SRC if they are from the same link it matches
or
2. actual image matching,I would suggest to use shell batch(some free plugin,which I don't know how to use unfortunately) once you get that working(it is only basic command line inputs) install node.js and download the following package

unfortunately cant do the first option as the image/s im trying to match/compare have encrypted filenames that change every time the said image shows on a page (like 6793y382134y3.gif)
as for the second option, not thought of that ... ill be checking that out today,

I was using the built in miage comparison and was wondering if is possible to compare multiple images in a single process ?
what i mean is this, ..
If i have a folder that contained lets say 20 png/jpg/gif images, and i want to search a webpage to see if any of those images exist,
is there a way to do this without having to do it 1 by 1 via the built in image capture function ?

Firstly might i say what an epic piece of kit you got here
ok, ..
I normally create my own app/bot skins using a combination of photoshop and dreamweaver,
a royal pain in the A** but i like to make my skins "perfect", so this creation of yours looks like it will cut about 8 hours out of making my skins and button, checkbox placements etc etc ..
your drag and drop system looks like all my dreams and birthdays came at once lol
I was just wathcing the video and noticed that when you added your image/logo it covered the other elements,
are all the elements able to be ordered ?
sort of like in photoshop layering where you can bring a specific image/element forwards to be on the top layer if you like,
or backwards to push it under/to the back.
The reason im asking this is because i would still like to create the graphics for my apps/bots with photoshop,
but can than just drag the elements i need such as text boxes, buttons, check boxes etc.. onto a pre-created image/skin
also, this way i could cut out creating tables in dreamweaver to hold variables and created button images.
I hope that makes sense lol
If this is possible i will most certainly purchase this amazing tool,
(once my wallet recovers from purchasing dev edition lol)

Yes it is definitely a new one on me,
an install of .NET 4.5 fixed it for 1 person,
others are still having this problem, and i can not duplicate it on any of my pc's
I am using a few plugins,
does it matter if the plugins are enabled or not when compiling ?
also,
will it make any difference if i made an install file instead of an executable ?
im determined to figure this out lol
