I have the latest chrome version *.117, but also have tested the *.88 version that comes with EXB.
Is anyone able to use chrome profiles with EXB? I've tried setting binary location to the version of chrome that comes with exb -version with the *.88 at end, but whenever using a profile it always launches in latest chrome version, and always in a pair of 2 windows.
Wanted to check here because I know Dan is busy and I don't really want to waste his time with something that might be as simple as using the wrong chrome version, mentioned in one of the training videos I may have missed, or a bug he already knows about.
If it is working for anyone, I'd like to know how you got it working...

Did you watch the Profile Tutorial Video already? Maybe something that you missed?
Will retest Profiles with next updates, just to make sure it works.
But this is just a chrome parameter. And that didn't change. So either something is wrong with your profile director, or some other error.
Keep in mind, that you can't point directly to a used profile! They need to be unique. Otherwise files might be locked and it won't work.
Chrome profiles are different from FF. Because FF makes a working copy of the profile. Chrome does not.
But that's covered in the tutorial.

So the license decision I though was a good idea, didn't resonate with many of you. So...Update on EXB V2
The license callback for PRO Edition compiled bots will be removed with next update.
Keep in mind, that Ubot as well as EXB downloads components in the background
on every new PC it is executed. So if you want it to be independant you have to supply them via an installer.
I will fly back home from Orlando today and work on the update over the weekend. So early next week
I should have 1.4 / 1.41 and 2.003 ready with all the promised updates.
Anything else (besides the price) your unhappy with, let me know.

Update1.
Payment profiles are adjusted and 10% refund has been sent to all v2 customers already. You should receive the info from paypal asap.
Xpath Builder V2 will go out next weekend when I'm back home.
V1.3 migration to V1.4 and new license server will happen after that. So far, old lic server and 1.3 will still remain active.

you are breaking the business rules.
why?
1,the time since we buy exbrowser, we all see that it's a one time payment,but now you force us to upgrade with high expense,i see some gurus may not care about this,because they make money with this, but not all of us old customers.
2,you increase the fees by yourself, and force bot compiled also need subscription, sounds joke, ubotstudio even not like yours, you should know exbrowser is just a plugin of ubotstudio, without ubotstudio,it's nothing,now your subscription fees are much expensive than the ubotstudio itself,incredible!
3,you always say you can't let everybody satisfied,that's true,so you now change fees,increase charges,change rules to force old customers to pay for the new version, all by your part, so, how can we trust you in the near future?
anyway, i just express my thinking on this, you can still go your way, nowadays,we are not easy,ubotstudio still have some bugs,we have to buy many plugins cost much than ubotstudio to enhance our bot, and now force to subscribe a plugin, on the ubotstudio market exbrowser is the only plugin need subscription.
i thanks Nick,tj and some other kind people, who has help me a lot, offcause dan, you has also help others alot, but for exbrowser 2.0 charges and force old customer to upgrade and limit 12month,it's really a shit idea.

Holy shit what is with the email about you canceling and locking out ALL EXB 1 clients and forcing us into buying your new subscription? What is this crap about "running the backend" you mean the license check server that uses probably no server resources at all? What part of exbrowser is cloud based? How much does this "backend infrastructure" cost you per month that you are complaining about?
This is some serious crazy shit you rarely hear of anyone so bluntly locking out customers and forcing a service on them. I see now why Aymen is emailing me constantly about his 1 time payment remote browser system. He is trying to take clients from you since you have gone nuts it seems.
I know your plan is somehow to make us all pay into the new system and how that will support you but I had planned to continue to use the portable browsers and exbrowser for clients without having to pay you $30 a month. Since it wasn't needed as far as I knew right now. I thought I could continue to use the service that I paid for. No part of the plugin is cloud based, if I only used the xpath scrape for years it wouldn't cost you a thing.
How can we possibly trust you to purchase you new plan when you pull a stunt like this? Absolutely NONE of my other paid plugs have done this. In fact I don't think I have ever purchased a software that did either. Worst case I thought I might use python to use selenium but you would be locking me out of other stuff I use as well. You are seriously out of your mind with this plan.

First of all I have to appologize for all the back and forth communication. I try to sort all of this out.
My misstake was to announce stuff and talk about release dates and prices way to early. I discussed everything with TJ already and made a plan to sort this all out for you. So give me a couple of days please. I'm currently in Orlando for a business conference.
I think TJ will comment here as well soon.
So in short:
1. Discount will be raised from 20% to 30% existing customers are refunded the 10% difference and subscription will be adjusted! Because yes I said 30% initially and then changed it.. But you guys are right.. I should stand to my word. And I will do so. So that will be fixed.
2. V1 will not go away.. Don't get me wrong please. But I need to get rid of that license server. Its an old and vulnerable linux system. So I will migrate everyone over to the new one. So you have to upgrade V1.3x to V1.4. And 1.4 will use the new license server. So that means v1.3 will not work anymore in the future. But you don't have to pay for 1.4 if you have a 1.3 license.
3. I will also update 1.4 to the new browser engine. So you can use Chrome 79.x with it and latest FF.
But that means you can't use older browser versions with 1.4 anymore! So please be aware of that in terms of plugins and such. If someone needs 1.4 with an older browser for whatever reason, open a ticket and tell me what you need exactly and we will figure it out.
4. Everone will get Xpath Builder V2 for free. All new EXB and all old EXB customers. It has a new chrome based engine and works much better than V1.
Hope this will sort out the mess and clear the stuff up a bit.
Please guys.. I had no plans to harm or piss anyone off. I was just a bit stupid in the way I communicated stuff. And TJ told me, that I should never announce things because people ask, if stuff is not ready. So leassen learned.
And really I'm not doing this to get rich or rip you off. If you would see the amount of work that went into it and how much actually is sold.. you woulnd't think that anymore :-)
So please take my sincere appology for beeing a bit stupid and too fast with some stuff. I will sort it out for everyone and make you happy again.

Hey Dan, after lots of tests trying to upgrade one of the old bots i found some important bugs on v2
The "info bars" (normal and experimental) and "disable notifications" parameters do not seem to work correctly.
I still receive alerts that block the portable chrome from continuing his work, i.e i never received popup to save password with 1328
Assuming the following code is correct:

Hi Guys, thanks for helping out.
This was sorted via support already.
But just as a general information:
1. OLD EXB Customers. And with old customers I mean customers who purchased for a one time price in 2017 / 2018.
They can still use EXB V1.x and still will be able to use for another 12 months. And they will also receive one more browser update in the near future.
Ever OLD customer will be moved to the new license server as well. So I can shut down that old linux based annoying thing very soon.
It still makes sense for those people to move to V2 today, because they will save money in the long run. Because today the discount code is still active.
But of course everyone can decide on their own.2. So. if you purchased V1x with a subscription / monthly payment. You are NOT considered an old customer. So all V1 subscriptions have been canceled. And V1 subscription customers are not able to use V1 anymore. And the last month payment was refunded, depending on when the last payment was due.
Hope this clarifies who is considered an OLD customer and who can still use V1. and who can not!
PS: This is the only comment I will make about this here in the forum. If you're not happy with it or if you have questions, send me a support ticket and we will discuss this 1:1. I'm not discussing individual concerns in public.

developer mode extension is fix in the update, but browser extension bug still exists
So not sure if it was your ticket. But the CRX extension someone sent me that he was not able to load was a CRX2 format, which is no longer supported by chrome.
You need CRX3 extensions.
You can check that here:

You can also repack extensions:
How to repack extension:
- Download extension locally. (you can use online crx-downloader, for example https://crx-downloader.com/).
- Check version of your extension with site https://crx-checker.appspot.com/ that it is CRX2 format
- Unpack extension as .zip archive to a folder
- Open chrome at extensions://extensions/ and press button Pack Extension.
- Profit! Use repacked extension on your tests!
Just google CRX2 to CRX3 and you will find a lot of infos about this.
So adding a CRX3 extension works perfectly fine for me via the chrome option.
The only downside to this is: When you also use the disable infobar experimental option, you will get that developer mode extension popup again.
And there is nothing we can do about this at the moment. Disabling the infobar requires a chrome switch. That will then show that popup when an extension is loaded.
So you can either load extensions and have the info bar. Or hide the infobar and get the extension popup when you load an extension.
I will do more research, but so far I didn't find a way to have both...

I see disable webrtc function is not available in new version, can you please add that function Dan
This was just loading a webrtc plugin in the past. So you can do that youself still. Via the extension option.
It was just to much work to update that plugin all the time. Makes no sense. Because different people also liked different extensions. Some wanted it active directly others did not.
So I decided to remove that. So everyone can load it via the extension option, or add to a custom profile. Then you can configure it the way you want it.

I appreciate your work and made donations very glad to pay a subscription to help you with development but do not force my clients.
It is correct to block the user from using exbrowser and stop developing if he cancels his subscription, but is wrong to block his clients.
In the long run everyone using exb will be bound and forced to pay you a subscription even if Is built free or a one time payments.
If I update all my clients and all previous bots to v2, and if for whatever reason I stop paying the subscription then all my bots will stop working for everyone... this is wrong sorry.

Appreciate your feedback and as I said, many people, many oppinions.
I see it this way. if you use a tool that is a subscription payment, then it doesn't matter for what you use it.
If you rent a machine, you still pay for the machine, if you use it at your house or at clients house where you get payed.
If you create bots that you give away for free or for a one time payment, then that's your business decision.
You have build that into your overall calculation for your business. When you use a tool that requires a monthly payment, then you need to plan with that.
And then you make the decision if that tool is useful for your free bot or not. Or if you have to adjust your business model for it.
I mean your own licensing system works that way as well right? If they stop paying the €9 per month, the license server doesn't work anymore right?
They have to purchase a "keep alive package" if they cancel all their subscriptions. Not 100% the same, because the keep alive is probably cheaper. But still not for free right?
So if I protect a free bot with the licensing tool I'm also "forced" to pay something. And I can not cancel all my subscriptions and still use it.
I don't know.. if it would make sense to have something similar.. I just had too many cases in the past where people purchased for a month.. Build a bot.. sold it 200 times.. Canceled the subscription and purchased again 7 months later to update this. While still making money with what the Plugin does for them. Because it's not like the plugin only works in Ubot. It still does it magic when it's in the bots you sell right.
But anyways. we don't have to discuss this here. I have my oppinion on it and it won't change. And if someone doesn't like it, absolutely no problem. No one is forced to purchase it. I still love all of you

Hi.
You can always add extensions via browser profiles. That should still work.
If you want to manually load an extension it depends on the extension. Some extensions are missing some security / certification stuff and can't be loaded that way.
Check the debug log. It will give you the correct info so you can validate that.
And someone opened a support ticket about this, so please send me an extension where you have the problem and I can take a look.But this is very likely a chrome security issues. That the extension you want to use is not correctly signed for development stuff. And then it will not work in automation.
There are a couple of things that can't be changed unfortunately and it has nothing to do with ExBrowser. It's just the way google designed the security for the browser and the extensions.But check the log and send me the extension via support and I will verify it for you guys.

Please try V2.002. I added some changes for that infobar stuff.
Removing that stuff is not so easy, because it was added by Google for security reasons to inform people that the browser is automated.
But I found two options who seem to remove it. Still experiemental, so test everything please.
Just as a personal note. If you sell a bot to users that automates stuff. I always just tell them.. hey it's using chrome and that browser is automated, that's why you see this message in the browser.
Was never a problem so far. So I didn't bother removing that infobar in my custom bots.

Can the 20% discount to existing members also apply to the starter plan? I saw there was no promo code option for it so I thought I'd ask.
Does exb2 have all of the functions and commands that are in exb1? I ask because in the demo video there is an "Exbrowser REMOVED Commands" command category.
Just want to make sure I am clear on what I am upgrading to.

Some commands and functions have changed. Some stuff was removed because it was not necessary anymore, or was duplicate stuff.
But everything that was important is still in there. All the changes are simplifications and improvements.

Hi @Dan, i was about to upgrade to v2 but got confused about the subscription plans continuity.
Simply put, under v2, after one year if i do not continue paying the subscription for whatever reason, what happens with the already compiled bots ? Do the compiled continue working ?
I understand that i cannot use exbrowser v2 anymore but the previously compiled bots with my license/subscription continue working for my clients, right ?

The price if for the ExBrowser features and the value it delivers. Not for using it in ubot studio only.
So when your subscirption ends, or you refund the product, the features stop working. No difference if used in Ubot Studio or in compiled bots.
That was different in the past and resulted in many people purchasing a license for one month. Selling a tool for 1 year. And the purchase a license again when they need to upgrade the bot.
This model is no longer working. So as long as you leverage the features and value of the plugin, doesn't matter where it's used, you need an active license.
I know that some people don't like this and that there are many different oppinions about this. But that's they way it is now, and it will not change.

Hi. With native chrome, it doesn't work. But when I use the Multilogin tool, it works fine for. And EXB V2 supports multilogin. So you can use that to hide your identity and automate Google.

Google detects ubot studio, exBrowser as a BOT.. Nothing you can do about that now! unfortunately.. use Python..
Everything can be detected. Also Selenium directly. Or Python. It's only a question of time and if a website want's to protect against certain tools or not.
Just imagine how many developers they have to fight bots.
You can do measures with EXB to make it harder. And EXB V2 has some new tools and options to do this. So it might worth to give it a try. And also look at Multilogin support for example.
But as I said many times.. Don't build you business on violating website TOS.. You might have no business very soon. If it's just for personal use, then fine.. But if you make money with it.. Well.. be prepared to be surprised one day..

After some trial and error, found out that this issue happens only in a scenario when multiple gmail accounts have already been created from the same App/IP/Device. Google somehow is marking those accounts and blocks them if they are launched by automation frameworks/extensions.

If you develop tools who are against the TOS of a website, they very often will try to prevent that kind of stuff.
A lot of websites don't allow to use automation tools. Some websites do. Some websites use API and other methods for automation.
So depending on what you do, it's always important to have this in mind. If your business model is based around doing stuff that is not allowed, you could get into trouble.
Ubot and EXB are tools. But that doesn't mean you should use them for tasks, where it's not allowed..

Any update?
New license integration is done now.
Doing some last tests now. I'm a bit behind schedule.
Mainly because of my main job and some family stuff. And also the new license server gave me more trouble than I expected.
But I think I'm able to open doors for existing customers next monday.
Only yearly licenses from now on. The monthly stuff is too complicated to manage. People subscribe and cancel all the time. I can't manage that anymore.
I will email the purchase link to all existing customers. And will post here and in the facebook group when I have done so.
Till then it would be great if you wouldn't send additional support tickets, emails, facebook messages and forum messages asking for the update.
I'm working on it and I do my best to finish everything. Belive me.... But it's sometimes tricky if you don't have a 10 people team doing everything for you..
And no one would be happy paying 3x the price, so I can afford some stuff to speedup things. So please be patient a bit guys.

Great, Lost 5 customers this month cause of outdated browser...hope there will be more...
We covered this via support already. If you use the supported browser with EXB, it still works fine.
Yes, some plugins might not work anymore. But even there you should be able to use the related plugin version.
If you don't change anything, I don't see why this shouldn't still work.
And please report this, with some details via support. It doesn't speed things up when you discuss it here really.
