Joe118 3
IMPORTANT for users of Windows 7: A solution if your bot does nothing at all when you hit play. I've had several reports of people saying that the harvest+comment bot does absolutely nothing when they run it, and the common factor is that they are all running (some version of) Windows 7. Here's the problem: .NET 3.5 is installed properly on those systems, but not all components are activated. Specifically, the HTTP components are not activated. The solution: Use the following procedure to activate the HTTP components. 1. Start Control Panel and click Programs And Features. 2. Click Turn Windows Features On Or Off. 3. If there is not a check-mark next to Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 then your computer has the problem, and we're going to fix it now. 4. Click the + sign next to Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 (or whatever version is installed). You should see (at least) two sub-items, Windows Communication Foundation HTTP Activation and Windows Communication Foundation non-HTTP Activation. Click the check-mark next to both, and hit OK. 5. Your Windows 7 operating system will now activate both these components, and the check-mark next to Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 should also turn on. That's IT. Now all ubot programs will run on this machine just fine. This problem may also affect other Windows OSes, such as Windows Vista.
