CLKeenan 0
So I run a big site with a community that will hopefully be willing to lend a hand with promoting the site for me. My thoughts are to create a ubot .exe file that basically contain a list of instructions for that bot to run at that point in time. This could be digging articles for me, posting comments on blogs, submitting social bookmarks, etc. The beauty of this is that these would all be done from different computers throughout the day. It would pretty much be my own bot net. With that said, what are some of the other ideas you could do with ubot to get people to promote your site? -Chris
cardine 0
IMO it would be a lot easier just to rotate proxies.
webautomationlab 21
Start small. Get people to do one or two things. Trying to scale before you have a working bot and test group with results is putting the cart before the horse imo. No reason you can't have successful botters download a more advanced bot later. In fact, you could give people bot levels, and some sort of recognition with each level of botting. That's how FAH (Folding @ Home) worked. Just ranking contributors is enough to encourage people to climb the ladder of participation.
Mike D 0
You could create a bot that your visitors would find useful to use and your bot could finish up on your affiliate offer.
Ubot_guy 13
One side note... Make sure you use some PHP to help control your bots. This way you can shut it down, if need be.
