alabamafreddie 1
I am purchasing a second laptop to serve as a dedicated machine to running Ubot. I would be running under 3 threads max...so big computing power is not a huge requirement. So could I get away with 2g-4g ram..maybe & dual core Intel processor ? Windows xp -Windows 7 ? What do you guys think ? Any advice ?
Macster (UBotter Labs) 112
I would go for at least an Intel with Dual Core - Windows 7 x64 - 4GB RAM (do NOT go for AMD, sucks big time at multitasking)
Ptrick125 45
If you only want a small computer to run uBot, you might be better off renting a VPS
thinkaholic 4
Depends on what you want the bot to do, I guess. i run mine on a small Windows XP netbook I got for about $120. It just stays on and runs all day for what I need it to.
alabamafreddie 1
My Ip solution is local so I can't run VPS...but I did pick this up for $125.00 http://www.ebay.com/itm/231018403108?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 , i'll upgrade the ram to 4 gb, in a week or two
