  1. Hmmm... There doesn't seem to be an attachment button on PMs here... You could PM me your email addy... Thanks, Luke
  2. Oh yeah... That... Hee hee... Must be all the Jack D I had earlier! I prefer Chrome but worry how much Google can see through it. So I use Firefox for the more private stuff and the SEO tools like PR meters and SEOQuake. Otherwise Chrome rocks.
  3. Actually I'm using Jing... No browser affiliation, I can use it with no apps at all open, in fact, every bit as awesome as Camtasia's recorder, voice and all. They even host the files, how cool is that? -All free. But the more important issue here is: WHY IN THE HECK ARE YOU USING IE?!?!?
  4. Whew... That's good to hear. I was afraid you new guys were going to get really confused with two ways of doing the same thing... And those two ways are so different from each other. It's my hope that all future use of CSVs is with Tables only, of course that just means that they should take down the training to use CSVs with lists. Of course we'll likely always need lists, but merging them into and splitting them apart from CSVs needs to go the way of the dodo.
  5. 16k for the .png, and 3.7k for the gif. both 86x82 pixels. In fact, check this out: http://screencast.com/t/NGZhY2NlZDg When I attach these two files to the post (and my profile too) I watch them upload and then once up they appear broken.
  6. I have long thought that the Avatars on this forum are haunted... Right now I'm using a default avatar from the board but I have tried on many occasions to upload my own Futurama avatar and it only showed as a broken image... Here's the avatar in fact, in two different formats, and as you can see they don't work with the board but work great on my PC: Can you see any reason these files can't show on this board, Lilly? ------------------------------------------------------ Wow... so broken they won't even be clickable... Yet I watched them upload. Is there some trigger that makes
  7. Ok John... you've been taunting us all with that odd avatar since you got here in may... I'll bite: What the heck is Sciencebob Squarehead? He looks kind of like a cross between gumby and Ted from bill and Ted's...
  8. WADDAYA MEAN?! I'm draught dunk at all! Are you trying to start up something, Mr. fancy science man?? {HIC!} If only I could fit through this monitor, I'd show you a two or thing...!
  9. Wait! I get it now... Much easier. All it took was a 5th of Jack to get the old list-based system out of my head and -BOOM!- the new tables system was very easy to figure out... I can tell it's a much easier system, in fact... So you should probably hide the old way from newbies before they get confused too. By the way, {HIC!} did I ever mention that I loved you guys...
  10. Thank you Lilly! Oy... It's so alien from using lists though. I'll be spending the evening trying to wrap my head around these new concepts. (I didn't even know there was a $table total row counter before!) The bot is a tremendous help though, thanks again. Seth should definitely give you a raise! -Luke
  11. Another day, another bot. Today I'm making a new bot that uses lists from a CSV but it's not that deep so I thought I'd try to figure out a way to do it with the new table commands instead. My one issue seems to be using them incrementally in loops... Since &tables don't use lists, there is no way to use the $next list item variable... but since we have the ability to "increment" in general, I was wondering if any smart botters here or perhaps an admin has figured out a way to increment the position of a row or column of a table instead of a list? Tables seem great but there are ma
  12. Hmm... Your about 79 years too late to be spilling the beans on that one. C'mon, Just a wee hint...
  13. I wanted to say for posterity's sake that Lilly's fix above is excellent. It can loop even the longest lists into a text bot in a couple of seconds. Thanks again. One tiny annoyance: It always seems to place a linebreak or empty line at the very top of the list... Luckily that doesn't hurt my current app but I can think of a few that this will be a stopper for... Any ideas how to circumvent? Cheers, Luke
  14. While upgrading to today's latest stable version the changelog said that the addition is "Upgrading to uBot Premium Store." WTF? Anyone else imagining a silly online marketplace selling hats and tshirts with uBot logos on them? I looked through the commands and even the script reference, and I can't find any mention of a "store" command or constant or anything new at all. So since there's nothing here in the forum, either, I'm really scratching my head... It looks like Seth meant to keep something in secret that got accidentally 'spilled' ahead of time with this update... Any admin
  15. Awesome, Lilly, will give them a try... Might I suggest a Tute on proxies featuring them in the near future? Cheers, Luke
  16. God I love this Forum! I have used Xroxy too but I can't say they were 100%... Almost too much trouble to be worth it in most cases. I'll be trying out some of these others soon though. Highly looking forward to uBot integration, too.
  17. Thank you for the code diet, Lilly! I guess I'm thankful as well that I'm not losing my mind... It really does seem to me like this would be a basic, newbie-common tool around here and I thought I was going stupid not being able to figure out how to do it. BTW, I haven't said welcome to you yet. It's good to have you with us. I gave Alex all kinds of trouble during my learning curve here so hopefully you'll get to benefit from his hardships. Cheers, Luke
  18. Well, since no one with the knowledge is online today I went and hacked a way to do it... Something I don't recommend for larger lists at all, and something that I feel is uber-unnecessary, such as getting to your next door neighbors' yard via a space shuttle launch and landing... As you could see I've got a loop going where it adds a line to the field, scrapes it back up, then adds it to the field again with another list item added, then scrapes all that back up, and so on... I worry that it may be missing some since there are no pauses or wait fors, but when I add one of those the loop
  19. Now that I no longer consider myself a newbie here I thought I'd seen it all... But I was wrong. Even on something so small as putting a list in a form box! Apparently you can't just drop a list (such as a bunch of Keywords) in a text area box. The bot gods seem against this! It's amazing to me that this functionality wouldn't have been included because the popularity of adwords and its' like... Everyone really needs to be able to throw a list of keywords into a box sometime... Is this a bug, or do we have to make a loop add all of the list items one at a time into that single text area
  20. Sorry iglow... No disrespect...! For anyone thinking about buying MPP; I have to say that iglow's one smart puppy who makes the best use possible of ubot for link building... Just check out his awesome blog to see for yourself. (Which I was reading long before I heard of uBot.)
  21. Hmm... What if the variables were all shared in a central database like Zoho Creator and everyone on the project had access to it? That could easily solve the variable issue by loading and depositing variables automatically when needed. This might be doable afterall. I don't mean to take over iglow's thread here, his software does indeed appear to rock. But this is a worthy idea and I think Cervant41 would do well to investigate a central-DB solution that he could even start himself and invite others here to add to it where they see fit... And of course start a new thread about it. I'd pitch
  22. You might have better luck if you tell us what it is we'd be testing!
  23. I see... It will take a bit of work though. I'm thinking you'll need to run a loop for the number of items on your list... If it's always 30 just literally write in 30. Inside the loop, you're going to start with 2 scrapes. Go to CB and scrape both the url (html link) and the target product name and save them as two variables, like #tempurl and #temproduct. Next inside the loop you'll make 2 replacements, using #tempurl and #temproduct as your replace for each (third box). The source file I believe will be the same as your Original, (1st box) and both would have in it the whole template
  24. Hi John, I took a look and am trying to figure out what you'd want replaced with what over there... I can't tell what your original source is to build the list with, and why anything would need replacing since you seem to just be displaying everything on the list. If all you want to do is replace one url with another then it's pretty straightforward... Of course how long you want the first one to display on your page before being replaced with a second becomes the new question.
