tooltrainer 12
I'm trying to parse a list of image URLs that I'm scraping from Google images. That part all works fine, I get the list, save it to a file, all looks good. But then I create a $list from file and for some reason I can't figure out, it's always just one giant element, as opposed to the separate lines i see in my text file (or when I use an alert to display the contents of the list). What am I doing wrong here? I even tried doing a $list from text and specifying $new line as the delimeter in case it would help, but no change. So the initial contents are written to the file without any issue, then put into a list called %final_images. That list's $list total is always 1, but when I alert it directly, everything is on a separate line and looks fine. Where have I messed this one up? Thanks!
tooltrainer 12
And once again, posting that I'm stuck, has caused me to solve the problem. I was using Add Item to List, rather than Add List to List. Working now!
Legend 181
You need to use $list from list rather than $list from text...
tooltrainer 12
Yep... very confusingly named. Add a list to a list when I don't yet have a list? HUH?!?! LOL But, it worked.
Legend 181
You want to input the data in the form of a list... hence $list to list.
VaultBoss 310
Yep... very confusingly named. Add a list to a list when I don't yet have a list? Well... actually, as soon as you name it, it is initialized; so you have it, but it's empty...
