botsimmer 16
Hi all,any one know of a way to bypass the Google home page when a bot is started please?Have tried the javascript (navigate) method - credit to Kreatus.I suspect the onLoad method would achieve similar results which occurs after the Google home page has loaded. But I need to be able to completely bypass Google home page. How can I add my own URL when the bot starts up please? Thanks
Chris M 55
You're talking about the site that loads up when you start a bot? That's the "Splash Page URL" under Compile ==> Developer Options ==> Splash Page URL
botsimmer 16
Hi, when one starts up a compiled bot, by default Google web search is loaded. The splash sceen will just over-lay the bot but Google website still loads and I would like to use my own URL. Any way around this please?
Chris M 55
I have no idea what you're talking about. If you enter your website in to the field I told you aboutand compile then your website will load instead of google.com. It's not an overlay because I ran it through fiddler and google.com never loads. Only the website Iinput in their. You can create a video showing what you mean otherwise what I described works. itexspert 47
Do you have On Load Function that navigates to some URL once the Bot Loads?
botsimmer 16
@cmmorris1,Yes indeed, what am i talking about I miss-took Splash Page as being related to the Application Icon (Browse) option. The operative word being 'URL' Thank you.
