    Advice is VPS or Dedicated, but I personally run on shared with thousands of licenses...

    Maybe depends on the host and some other features that are included may not work on all shared hosts.

     

    Thanks, I'm currently using two shared host services, hostgator is one of the two - the other escapes me now - having yet another blond day :).

     

    but it's nice to know that you’re running on shared servers with success, that gives me some hope, tell me if you don’t mind – are you getting much trouble with the Anti-Virus programs killing your protected bots, I have meter's UbotLocker.

    @Macster,

     

    A couple of questions if you don't mind...

     

    1) Do we need a VPS or Dedicated server or will this opperate on a shared host for a small amount of licences (let's say less than 100 in total).

     

    2) How long do you think before your able to offer the service of this system on your servers as I would like to test before investing too much in this upgrade (I'm after using the API for licencing my bots as I'm attempting to cut out the anti-virus problems deleting as fast as the users install...

    Thanks for the support.

     

    The Unleashed mod is a serious tool designed for serious marketers and developers, and I know its not easy for everyone to reach it while you also need both Meter's Ubotlocker and TJ's LockerEx so i decided to simplify things a lot and offer a small online licensing service so everyone can protect and license their bots to start selling at least until they can "afford" it, or just wan't to avoid complications with installation and customization of a licensing server.

    Looking forward to receiving info about this, does this allow us to use the mentioned API protection and can we then upgrade to your Ubotlocker Unleashed when we have seen it in action...

    Looks good but I first need to find out about API integration and if this solves the problems with AV's killing the dll's for meters licencing system, but yes your system would be a good addon for some projects when doing larger packages...

    Working to fix the ubotlocker dll's compatibility and will update soon but until then you can use the new API to license and sign your bots to avoid AV's.

    It seems that I'm again having a blond day on this side because I don't understand the API concept - is this part of the Ubotlocker unleashed purchase,

    and if so is there any info that goes with this so that I can understand how to use it...

     

    Many thanks for getting back to me and I don't wish to use too much of your valuable time but if I understand how I can use this to secure my bots

    without the problems incurred with AV software the it will save me a bunch of headaches on my side.

    Due to the way ubot itself is compiled the signing process overwrites and break the .exe . With or without meter's locker currently it is not possible to sign ubots directly but...

     

    Yes it is possible to sign ubots using the new API inside the mod and have 2 big surprises for all mod users on the 1st of March and put an end to all AV problems ;)

    Hi HelloInsomnia,

     

    Thanks for your input, Man I must have been having a blond day again. happens a lot lately or so it seems:-).

     

    I have the plugin you suggested already and as if that wasn’t bad enough I’m already using one of the functions for hiding the menu bar.

     

    Now I see after looking again at the sales page that I can also change the software title for a white label product and as you say set this up in an encrypted file.

     

    Thanks very much for giving me a kick in the right direction...

    Hey Brutal,

     

    Thanks’ for getting back to me, I'm attempting to allow the user to brand the software and have been playing around with allowing a client’s background image to be loaded into the Newgen Ui Builder.

     

    Currently I’m testing loading the image from a web host and loading into the UI just after the on load has completed, works but you can see the image load from the web host so this may not be the answer.

     

    I’m thinking that the image needs to be stored locally maybe in an sqlite database which should load a lot faster, of course I will then have to supply a piece of branding software to allow the user to save the image into the file before shipping.

     

    The other option I have been thinking about is to have an about button on the UI and this could then simply pull the info from a file or allow the user to host a web page of his own design and place this into the browser window.

     

    Any idea’s on this would be of great help.

    Hey Folks,

    I’m looking to create a white label product of my bot as an upsell, how do you guy’s suggest I do this. BTW I have a developer licence,  I’m using the Newgen Ui Builder for the UI and meter’s UbotLocker for protecting the software. I have been looking at this for a few days now but can’t seem to come up with a good way to do this and could really use some input here. Thanks Arthur

    I'm sorry but error messages etc do fall under the category of branding, see the definition below...

     

    Branding (Promotional), the act of imprinting or engraving a brand name or symbol onto a product.

     

    But as noted above if it were my product getting a bad reputation because of branding on the error messages in our software I'd certainly get it removed pronto...

     

    We should be able to edit our own error messages within the developer licence...

    Thanks for getting back to this thread,

     

    I have made a plan on the sort for now by saving the data to an sqlite file which the allows me to fill the datagrid with data from any SQL statement.

     

    It does mean that I have to have a button for each sort but I now have many options using SQL for my returned data to fill the datagrid with.

    Hi Aymen,

     

    Any idea when you will have time to look into the problems reported below.

     

    Item 1 has become a big problem for me as when the table is sorted the contextmenu no longer returns the correct URL for the item in the datagrid as the datagrid index is messed up.

     

    Meanwhile does anyone have a work around for getting the correct datagrid index after a sort is performed by the user, if so I would be grateful for a temporary fix whist waiting for an update as I have a program almost ready to ship and now find this annoying bug...

    1. Datagrid Index not working correctly when sorting is enabled

    2. Scrolling in the datagrid changes row color
    3. datagrid row color seems to reset selected index.

    Hi Dan,

    Sent you a support ticket yesterday morning but as of now no response so just in case the email got lost I’m posting here, hope you don’t mind...

    I purchased the video training and xpath builder last week as I needed to get into using xpath (I currently use regex but find it has it’s own set of problems at times).

    When I attempt to run the xpath builder the program fails with the message:
    XpathBuilderPro has stopped working

    I have attempted to run this both as a user and as administrator.
    I have also downloaded the program again in case it was a bad download and re-installed but with the same error message.

    I'm running Windows 7 32 bit with Net version 4.5.50938     With 4 gigs of memory I’m running Kaspersky antivirus on the PC.

    In the support email I sent a screen shot of the error message but basically the program stops responding and locks up when attempting to register the software.

    I would appreciate your response to help me sort this problem out quickly if at all possible as I'm currently working on a project.

  22. Is it just me or is UBOT 5.0.2 just very unstable

    Hi Guys,

     

    Is it just me or is UBOT 5.0.2 just very unstable

     

    I have been waiting for some of the fixes in version 5.0.2 and today I have updated to the new version, however this version crashes on my system every few minutes or so...

     

    Before I report this as a problem I want to find out if it’s me, my system or the latest update.

     

    The thing is that I cannot pinpoint any individual problem, the software crashes at times when I attempt to run a bot (a simple scrape bot which will run in version 4 ) but it has also crashed when I opened the debugger screen to look at variables and don’t even mention the new Regex editor.

     

    For instance the program will run a bot and crash after completing the bot and saving the data to disk,  just close down and not return back to the ubot editor – very strange...

     

    Ooh and by the way the data saved is correct from the page scrape, run this same program in version 4 with no problems and the Ubot editor returns.

     

    The same type of thing when attempting to open the debugger to view the variables, Ubot studio will just shut down.

     

    This does not happen on every occasion but at the moment I’m back in windows with the program shutting down more than I’m writing code, and it’s very annoying.

     

    Version 5.0.1 would run without these crashes and I’m now unsure if this is a problem with a bad update on my version (when downloading the update to my PC) or just a bad update from UBOT studio for version 5.0.2.

     

    I don’t think it’s anything to do with my PC as I program in other languages without these problems and did not encounter these particular problems in version 4 and 5.0.0 & 5.0.1

     

    If I could get some feedback from you guys I would be grateful, and if it’s a bad update on my side how do I attempt to update again...

  23. GA 5.0.2?

    I'd also like to know this as until 5.0.2 comes out Ubot 5 is useless to me as we can't even save tables to files currently, however the fix is supposed to be ready for release in Version 5.0.2 according to the Ubot studio tracker site.
