  1. Killed the process dozens of times, restarted; reinstalled 3 times, restarted, no dice; disabled firewall, enabled firewall, doesn't matter. It was installed to a fresh Windows 7 build too. It appears that the problem is on the remote side. The server is (probably) not returning the response it wants. I say this because the other day it was erroring out on a remote server error. When I sniff the traffic it appears as it sends the request to various servers (it connects to a good amount of them on startup for some reason, including something at Yahoo) and it just sits there. The connections remain open until they time out.

Still not fixed. What's going on?

Yep, still an issue for me as well. Also, already running as admin, so that isn't the issue either.

  2. Hey man, me again. :-)

Have an issue, you may want to discuss this via PM, just let me know. The summary of the issue is that we have a bot that requires the use of a vpn instead of a proxy. This is because we are doing things other than just over http.

The issues is, the bot is locking down by IP address? Or maybe mac address? Either way, using VPN seems to cause issues with the number of activations.

    Any help there?

  3. For everyone who is asking for Aweber integration:

Are you using Aweber to build email lists by handing out free bots, or do you actually want to import a customer's email into Aweber as soon as he buys the bot?

The first I can do (I think), the second I can't do automatically. What I can do though is list all the emails in system, and you can import them by hand into Aweber.

Hey man, I think this would be a great first step at least in autoresponder integration. I am a big believer in crawling before running so that may be a good place to start. I do agree about not adding API overhead. Not everybody uses Aweber or some of those other commercial autoresponders (why do people still use these?) and adding their API overhead at some point becomes a joke. Just too damn many to keep track of. Obviously you are very aware of this based on your cURL comment.

I would ask that you look at straight html mailer forms. The fields are fairly standard and even coding in options would bring less overhead than APIs. This would also give you the ability to easily capture buyers data and send it straight to ANY html form based (just about all of them) autoresponder.

  4. We are working on a bot that part of it's function is sending email from a number of preset accounts. Everything is working fine but we would also like to set the "From" so that the emails are't just coming with the email address but rather Our Company's name, so that people are clear that it's not spam but from us.

We are having a hard time setting the "From", any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
