Hey buddy
I hear where your coming from, and immediately i understood that it was indeed an old tutorial that you seen.
Im probably AND OFFICIALLY THE WORST CRITIC in this forum, simply because i jumped on the refund wagon straight away when things didn't go as planned, i know you stated you didn't want a refund so my comment may seem irrelevant, but i believe, and this is just my personal opinion, that the tutorials are simply a guide.
I watched them all about 3 times, and although i created a few bots that i wanted, i didn't actually UNDERSTAND what and why i was doing what i was doing.
Its only now that i fully grasp the capabilites of this software, and its came through endless nights of trial and error, the things i have been stuck on, nearly all the time are to do with flow, goddam that flow lol. Im thick as hell, and i love it when i get to automate something that others spend ages trying to achieve.
I know that in a couple of weeks or months, i going to be coming to you for advice, so keep with it, cos i'll need your help lol.

Ive got to admit it, your absolutely correct frankie boy...
I'm happy to admit that i was one of the first to grab my refund when things started to get difficult. But after looking back on it, i found myself extremely dissapointed in myself, especially since i pride myself on problem solving.
I bought it again nevertheless, and now im "botting" away quite happily, and yes i do regret the 4 weeks i spent without it, now my only fear is that seth and the rest of the team give up on ubot, of course my fears are unjustified, but so great is the software, its not even the thought of losing the money, its losing the amazing capabilites that come with ubot.
Im not going to try and emmulate your opening post, i can merely echo what you said, give it time, and IT WILL COME.

No problem. Did you get it to work?
yeah i tried it this morning before i headed out and it worked a treat. came home and tried to open the hubpages bot i created and ubot keeps saying not responding, windows says it encountered a problem, and then the program shuts down, its weird, im sure i had this problem the first time and it was something to do with where the file was saved...cant remember now....ah well, another problem, another solution, and another thing learned!!

Just thought id add this...
was playing about with signup bot, and got a hellish capture that i could not understand, inevitably, it was wrong and the whole bot went to crap....
id been putting each stage into a seperate sub, to make it more readable to me if anything else, not sure if there is another purpose, probably is...anyway....i created a successfull if then statement, whereby if the captcha was incorrect, then it went back and ran the intial process again, ie the first sub, and when the captha was correct, it carried on with the rest...
im well chuffed!! that was my first attempt at it,

Aw man,
Now ive thought to myself, ok, i can't work out how to get past this problem on hubpages, so i;ll move on and try another one, so i've tried another site, zimbio, and im breezing all the way through and getting stuck on the same part again!!.
On both sites im able to get to the stage where content is about to be added, the title is no problem, i can drag that over, but when it comes to actual "article" part, it looks like something different altogether. Its as if this part is different code or something,can anyone help?
Im not asking to be spoon fed by the way, i just need to know if its say, javascript, and then i know to go look at that, and build upon it, but until i know WHY i cant do what im trying to, i cant really LEARN how to overcome it.
anyone have any ideas or pointers?, they would be so much appreciated.

Hey everyone,
Im trying to create a bot for hubpages. I can signup, verify captcha, get all the way through to the part where we addc content to your hub, and that is where i fail.
I can add the title, but im having difficulty adding any content to this part.
When i choose the text box by attribute, i choose by the src, but i cannot get any text in to that area, ive tried just adding text, and creating a block text in the ui, but im getting nowhere fast.
Any help always appreciated.

i actually managed to get round it by...
when i open the file normally, the start up procedure when opening the document prompts you to choose the preferences, which is obviously comma delimited, but although there isnt an option to have no delimiter, by deleting it, and saving immediately, it worked.

Yah, i got my refund...
Trouble is, i cept thinking about what people had said, and i thought to myself, you know what, i DID NOT give that anywhere near enough time, so i bought it again....
Tried to do too much too soon last time, and so im going to make a real commitment to not only learning ubot, but to master it!!.
I'm getting a prompt every time i start it to upgrade, and as much as i realise that by doing so it will be helping others, im a little concerned that if i do encounter a bug that required a fix, i wouldn't be able to tell if the problem was me, or was indeed a general bug, so i think i'll hang off a week, hope you guys understand.
Anyway, thought it only right to write this post and let you know im back.
Hope to speak soon with some good development in ubot.

I have purchased ubot around the same time as you and I have had a few issues also. But each time I have had an issue I found the real problem was ME and not the software. You've been playing with this thing for only a couple of days and your frustrated.
I bet all newbies feel that way too. I know I certainly do. But I also know that rome wasnt built in a day and once I figure out all the ins and outs of ubot I'll be laughing. I most certainly wont be asking for a refund.

I really hate to post this, as when i bought ubot i really had high hopes for it. Ive made a few mistakes when goin through the learning process. Im currently working on a bot to sign up for email accounts and web2.0 accounts.
Whilst this is going ok, i have come across sites that simply dont allow you to use the choose by attribute, as there is nothing there. One site in particular, is really driving me bananas, i have created a ui, and have certain text boxes on it. When i assign the variable, it fills in EVERY field with the first fields variable details.
There is a couple of others that do more or less the same thing, and although i can do them manually, it kind of defeats the purpose of having a bot in the first place. I timed myself last nite, and i can create accounts just as fast by opening up all the tabs in my browser and cliking fill on roboform. plus, if i make a mistake, at least i can start again with roboform, unlike ubot where i have to start the script from scratch, which is highly annoying if im halfway through the sites. I know i could just run node, but doing that each and every time is getting annoying.
Am i missing something here, cos with the amount of positive testimonials around about ubot, i find myself questioning wether or not im giving it enough time...ive learned it pretty fast, but as stated before, unless it can do what i want automatically, then i see no use for it.....
Any thoughts on this and how quickly are refunds processed?

would it be possible to send me the .csv file privately JohnScotland?
im using open office, when i load the csv file, i am given options to change the delimiter preferences of the document. although still comma seperated, there is a drop down option to change the preferences, and the choices you are given are limited i:e it is set to " but there is no option to delete this, so i pressed deleete the " from the box and it has seemed to work....

Hey everyone,
I bought ubot a couple of days and have scoured through all the tutorials and im well impressed. At the moment im creating a bot that creates accounts on various pages...anyway...
im loading from a csv file and although the text is going in the correct field and everything, i keep getting "" round each word thats entered....any idea how to get rid of this??? my info in the csv isnt in these "" but when its entered into the bot it comes out in them. Now the info in the csv was firstname in row 0 column 0, second name in row 0 column 1. When i put the 3 into the same cell, i:e all in row 0 column 0, and then seperate them with a comma, i can get the info in without the "" in all except the first instance when i use it.
When i do it this way there is only one " on the first chosen data, all data after that ie my lastname, doesnt have the "" around it...
Any help guys?

Is there a way to open up another browser window once the bot has finishes filling in the fields?
Basically im creating a bot to create accounts at bookmarking sites, but surely i dont have to create one bot for every site?.

Hey everyone...
i havent used ubot in about a week and when i tried to use it earlier its asking me for my login details, unfortunately i don't remember them because i had ubot before and when i bought it again then i was issued with another username and password. I can access it now and im stuck for ideas. I bought it with my visa debit card and my email address is happysmiler2493@yahoo.co.uk
Could one of the mods or admins help me out by contacting me either here or via email and let me know what my details actually are cos i've went through about 100 variations of what i though it was and its none of them and until i get in, im buggered.
