Hi Fellow Botters,

I thought I share quick and wicked trick with everyone here. Its on how to take a screenshot of a webpage and save it to your local machine.

Now what would you do with it? Well possibilities are only limited to your imagination. For ex. save the captcha image and send it for solving using socket for Pro license holders( Will do a tutorial on that in some time), other can be a proof of submission, and many more, of course I will not leak out some of my secret at least not for now. They will come by time.

This script is nice and easy, executed in ONLY 2 STEPS!

So where is the script?

Here you go : WebPage_Screenshot_script_Praney.ubot

If you like it then don't feel shy to say thanks. ;)

Enjoy!

Hi Praney

Just as it say's on the tin - very nice and easy ! I don't have a need for it at the moment, but it's tucked away in my scripts and code snippets folder for when I do. +1 from me for sure.

Best Regards

Phil

Hi Praney

Just one small issue: I couldn't open the image.jpg as it said there was an error with the format, so I renamed it image.png and it opened without a problem !

Really good idea, I was looking for this. Is there any way to dynamically name that image for example with the site we're working on, or timestamp (image_2011-05-30.png) ? I could not insert a var in its name it seems.

Hi dsaunier

Yes you can.

Take a look at the attached image, which saves the image using the content of the variable as the file name. You could make this a unique name, date, or whatever.

Note: I changed the filetype to .png as I was having a problem with saving a .jpg for some reason.
