GSA SER is great for lower tier backlinking, but for tier 1 you need cleaner, more powerful links at your disposable. Private blog networks (PBNs) are ideal for tier 1, but the classic PBN can become pricey between registering the domains, hosting, and maintainence. However, creating a web 2.0 PBN is much easier and affordable. The combination of a web 2.0 PBN and the lower tier backlinking of GSA SER can really boost your SEO rankings.

Majority of the web 2.0 sites carry a high domain authority (DA) right off the bat. Over time, a lot of existing web 2.0 domains become expired or deleted by the previous owner. These expired web 2.0 domains can be re-registered right away (most of the time). As with any expired domain, these expired web 2.0 accounts still carry the original link juice and metrics, making them ideal to add to your arsenal for higher tier backlinking.

In search of more variety and a cheaper solution for tier 1 backlinks, I built a system that scrapes and filters powerful expired web 2.0 accounts. The blogs are double checked for availability and then queried against both Majestic and Moz.

Most of time, on places like Fiverr, people are selling expired web 2.0 accounts in bulk based on page authority (PA) alone. Having a high PA for web 2.0 properties is very common. Web 2.0s page authority is handled differently than a regular domain name. The web 2.0s usually have a minimum PA. For example, an expired Twitter account always starts off with a PA of 1. Once backlinks are built to the account, the PA jumps up to 45. There is no Twitter account with a PA in between 1 and 45. So 45 is the minimum PA for Twitter. A Twitter account with a PA of 45 may still not carry enough authority.

When filtering these expired web 2.0 blogs, I made sure to take other metrics into consideration to filter the best from the rest. A high PA is a good indicator, but doesn't tell the whole story. Domain authority (DA), page authority (PA), and MozRank (MR) are all recorded from Moz. Trust flow (TF), citation flow (CF), external backlinks (EB), and referring domains (RD) are pulled from Majestic.

The combination of these two backlinking services helps to filter out the powerhouses from the rest. Based on these 6 metrics, each expired web 2.0 domain is priced. Expired web 2.0 accounts are currently a l
