While Ed works on the core functionality, we're working with contractors to add more commands to do more things. What would you guys most like to see in terms of new command sets?

first of all , i want all in the above list :) , yea call me greedy :D

Also , the other features i want are :

-data grid command (integrated with some local database , XML or Microsoft access)

-API integration (like the best spinner and spinner chief ..etc)

-sockets feature (something like chilkat lib :) )

-a simple licensing command , to protect the bot in the most basic way , doesn't need to be sofisticated

We actually have a socket command set half finished. We've been putting it off for other stuff. We could add that too.

In terms of UBot, what's the actual difference between sockets and libraries? Can we use sockets to hold libraries?

In simple terms sockets perform web tasks and bypass the need for a browser. So as of now uBot kind of simulates sockets but this is way less stable than sockets, uses tons more CPU and is not nearly as fast. True sockets would be amazing. I think I'd be a millionaire with my uboting skills and sockets. Right now any multi-threading bots really rev the CPU and the browsers eat up memory making ubot bots much more of a resource hog and slower than bots with true sockets.

Phone stuff, and OCR would be insanely awesome.

Also a drag and drop  for designing the ui in ubot like vb6 would be awesome.

Aymen,

API integration is a great idea. Is there anyone else besides best spinner and spinner chief that you would like to include in that?

It would be nice to have the browser window separated from the UI. This will allow us to have more control on the design of the UI of our bots while still being able to see the browser window.

A way to search for text on code view.

Better notification of code error in code view.

Yes totally agree with you man , i think a good sockets function , will take ubot to the next level , and will help us , dev users , to make more money with our bots :)

@VentureOnline... Thanks for the explanation! Been trying to get an answer to that one for quite awhile...

Aymen,

API integration is a great idea. Is there anyone else besides best spinner and spinner chief that you would like to include in that?

API's are already very easy to integrate with PHP. In order for uBot to integrate API's they'd have to specifically code each one, which then makes me ask why should some be chosen over others. API's are more about what languages the API developers chose to offer API's in. As long as there is PHP they are already available in uBot.
