  1. wow, this subject is over two years old and I'm afraid still unsolved. I tried this plugin and found the same problems with the filter. Is there really no solution to parse json and filter properly within ubot?
  2. Thanks for your input Rich, but as I mentioned, I had already opened the firewall for the bot and even turned off the windows firewall alltoghether (and there is no other active on the machine). And, yes, I also opened the windows firewall for the browser in AppData\Roaming Can anybody confirm that compiled ubots protected by ubotlocker positively work on win 10?
  3. on my win 10 test installation it is windows firewall and defender and as mentioned, the firewall is wide open for the bot. I even tried after deactivating the firewall alltogether. same result.
  4. ok, tried both: installed in c:\test, verified that user has full right in folder and got the same reaction: bot starts to load support files and then stalls. In task manager there are 2 processes open: downloading support files and "loading". I should add: I tried to use compatibility mode with win 7 and run as admin - same result. The bot does not get installed, only unzipped. any ideas what else to try?
  5. Hey guys I couldn't find a single mention about windows 10 and ubot locked bots. One of my clients ran into a problem after he had installed win 10. His bot won't get started with the error Invalid LIcense! License not found! Exiting... I wanted to know whether win 10 creates problems and tried to install my own bot on a win 10 machine and got different problems: - first win 10 reacted pretty nasty about unknown creator of the software. There was quite a bit of forcing the way through necessary with using admin overrides, etc. - when trying to install, I get my license verified (the license
  6. Hey Meter I am still unclear about the following. Thanks for explaining: The license server receives the IPN from paypal on payment and issues a license. All good. How does the duration of how long the license is valid for get taken into account? i.e. 1) how can I set up a product that should work for 6 months and then stop working? Since PayPal only sends an IPN at the beginning, how can I instruct the license server to stop access to the product after a certain period? 2) how can I set up a product that should work as long as the recurring payments keep coming in from PayPa
  7. Hi all A client of my compiled bot has the right to see and change the schedule of one command. When he opens the ubot scheduler, empties the existing schedule events and series and then tries to create a new event by double clicking, the window "Schedule Event" does not open. The window is not there, nor underneath, nor visible in the task bar. The bot has been sold several times without causing this problem. The user is on win 8.1 Any thoughts anyone? Thanks
  8. hmm. While opening AV and firewall and installing .NET 4.5 seems to have solved the "non loading" problem for one customer, a different customer has the same issues, now. He claims to have whitelisted the bot in AV and firewall and to have reinstalled .NET 4.5. And yet he keeps getting an empty window with the "loading..." in the top left. Any other ideas? Is the requirement .NET 4.5 a requirement for the ubot locker or for compiled bots in general?
  9. I have not heard back from my client yet, but is there a list somewhere indicating names and locations of supporting files that need to be downloaded to a computer that uses a compiled bot for the first time? Also, I find it strange that a buyer of my bot would need to manually load .NET 4.5 before running the bot. Should .NET not be installed when the bot gets run for the first time and detects that 4.5 is not present? In absence of such an automatism, what are the requirements exactly that a fresh buyer needs to follow before running a compiled and locked bot?
  10. I just got an error description from someone who purchased my bot. Apparently, the bot never loads, the window comes up, but it just keeps a white screen with "Loading..." The user is running my compiled and license locked bot (compiled with 5.12) on a Mac with Parallels. Are there known problems for this scenario?
  11. Question relating to refunds through jvzoo: I am integrating with jvzoo, i.e. the product gets purchased through JVZoo, PayPal sends the IPN to JVZoo and JVZoo forwards the IPN to the ubotlocker license server. Now, what happens exactly in these cases? Case 1: The buyer of a subscription product cancels the preapproval contract in PayPal (that will stop future payments). The license should stay valid until the end of the period paid for. Does it? And once this period is over, does the license status then get canged to "enabled_noupdates" or disabled (according to the cancellation settin
  12. In my marketing, I make the distinction between a subscription model and an outright purchase. The subscription model works fine. It is the outright purchase where I don't receive an end of life IPN from PayPal. The buyer of the outright purchase does not want to see a subscription contract in PayPal which he would have to cancel in order not to pay future rebillings. I want to give him the choice whether to buy updates in the future. Therefore, I can't use the PayPal subscription payment for that type of sale. And that is why I need to set the expiration date on the license level. But add
  13. Hi meter I'm afraid the problem lies a bit deeper. I'm aware of this "only disable updates" feature and am using it. The license server stops validity of the license (which either triggers "disable updates" or "disable license" after it receives notification by IPN. Correct? But if there is no IPN from PayPal, the license remains active indefinitely. Correct? The problem with buying a product with a one-off purchase is that there is no end of term IPN. I cannot instruct PayPal to issue a stop validity IPN after a certain period of time. That I can only do with a recurring payment scheme
  14. Ok, now I surprised myself with thisone... I am using JvZoo. IPN and all works. But now, I want to offer my product as a one-off purchase. The buyer gets a license to use indefinitely but to update for one year only. How do I do that? Obviously, I cannot set the product as recurring in JVZoo. So, how can I instruct the license to stop updating after a year without having to go in and revoke it manually? Shouldn't there be a setting that allows me to turns off the license after a default number of days in absence of IPNs? Thanks Urs
