UBot Underground

From Zero To Hero

Recommended Posts

I know the title is a bit over used nowadays, but it really describes my journey using Ubot.

I'm probably one of Seth's first customers for UBot and I can remember late version 1, early version 2. What attracted me to it way back when is the fact that I really wanted to learn how to program and ubot seemed pretty cool!

Now, I've been using ubot for several years and done reasonably well with it. I've been able to make money with it on a continuous basis just by solving ecky web problems with automation. Things like, I've managed several customer infusionsoft accounts and correcting commissions is really tough in their platform. It requires you to go to each sale and refresh the sale. With ubot, it took me a couple of hours to write a bot and bingo, I had ubot fix - literally four days of manual work in an afternoon!

I've also written programs for clients. Helping them transfer data from their wholesaler site to their site, probing amazon, man the list is endless.

But one thing I had to overcome was to start thinking like a programmer. It really is a totally different mindset.

I still need to send Seth some Starbucks coupons for all the times I hassled him in the first year, telling him how bad the software is when it really was how bad my programming skills were, lol.

But that's the nature of the software business, regardless of the language or software. I get a few select folks who are quick to tell me how bad my software is - and then I find out that they are using it totally backwards and upside down, lol. I'm sure the veterans here can relate!

What what happened was I was in ubot university, so to speak. Putting the time in to learn, learn and learn some more. It's been probably close to seven or more years since I started working with ubot now, and today, it's my primary tool for making money online.

I've released several pieces of software based upon ubot, doing things that are stinking tough to do and I'm sure were never in Seth's mind when he first developed ubot. I'm pumped by the changes that have occurred over the years, such as the plugin development - that was a home run!

And I'm looking forward to the future. I'm learning other languages now, but you know, I still do a lot of development on ubot because it's so darned fast to get it done. How many programming platforms can you take a simple idea and push out a simple application in under 1 hour? Not too many.

So, can you make good money with ubot? You BET! Right now, I'm looking toward our first million dollar year. It's taken a lot of learning but I'm pretty pleased at how 2016 is flowing already. My partner and I are working to multiply our list by ten times (should be there before the end of year), and we will gross over $1million in profits in a year.

It's really crazy. It's going to take a lot of work. But with the right tools, like Ubot, we'll get there!

So, in some ways, I truly cannot imagine where I'd be today without Seth and his team to keep the wheels on the wagon. Take the time to put into yourself and you'll be truly rewarded beyond belief.

Keep up the good work!

Cool post, Ubot has definitely opened my mind to other programming languages, and has taken the fear

out of trying to tackle them.

Frank,

Are you learning Php or Python now to make web versions of your bot ? You did say you're learning other programming languages.

I'm trying to learn Php 7 but no online tutorials out.

I'm just curious, would your existing customers be interested in a bot that finds WP blogs that still have their commenting sections open so they can leave their comments and links for link building. Or, would they be interested in a bot that auto posts their links and auto comments on WP blogs ? Would you be interested in partnerships with other Ubotters ?

PS - If anyone knows of a good php 7 tutorial then kindly mention the link.

Thank you

Really great post because Frank goes into some detail for us new users.  His tells his story in a realistic yet inspiring way.  That helps people like myself who are just starting out, sitting in front of their PC in a spare room, hoping to build a real business.

Kudos to you, Frank.

Thanks TJ. I was looking for Php 7 tutorials for complete beginners so that I can start learning Php from version 7 and not from previous versions.

Most tutorials I find just mention what's different in v7 over v5.6 but never really teach everything from beginning on v7 to complete beginners.
