memyselfmike 2
I just wondered if anyone else had encountered this in their commercial bots and where just as annoyed as me? In one of my compiled bots on first run my customer got an alert as per the image attached to this post.First up I don't really want my customers to know I'm using ubot - we all know its not that hard to pull a bot apart and get the code - and secondly is ubots support really going to help my customers out?Obviously there is also the folders it puts into appdata and the browser crash reference too. As a dev license holder and subscriber to updates I'm not really sure it's right that ubot advertise themselves like this within the software both from a commercial and security point of view. I'm putting in a support ticket to find out if indeed they would be happy to support my customers and will update this thread.

As it happens I was going to mention this a couple of days ago, both the alert message and the appdata folder reference, As Developer License holders shouldnt we be able to edit that ? BoosterBots 23
I agree, can we get this fixed. I pointed this and similar branding issues out to Jason a few weeks ago.

jason 101
The problem is that your users are unable to download the necessary files to run their bots. The included installer in UBot allows you to add in all necessary support files. If they are included they should not see this.
heopas 90
Jason like i told you on email about 1-2 weeks before i have the same problem. All ubot customers have the same problems. (Appdata files, error like this)Developers should change the way that AppData and error message work. (You can add a setting that allow ubot users to specify their appdata folder name and not the default one - Ubot...)

Hi Jason, Actually the problem occurs a lot more than you think, .. whether the support files are included or not, usually down to the user AV/Protection flagging a false positive in one or two of the files, Or if there is a problem the users side and the files need to be re-downloaded or something, then directing the customer to go to the folder "UBot Studio" is not ideal, You mentioned a crucial word there, .. "If they are included they should not see this" Its probably more accurate to say that at some point they will see it. Not that it will stop me using UBot in any way, love it to bits man loljust my opinion CJ
memyselfmike 2
Got a reply from support thanking me for the suggestions and saying they will think about it.Jason - specifically which files / folders need to be included so I can package them up in my installers it may at least in the first instance allow the first run to go smoother. At the moment I notice on some systems the first time it runs and downloads all the ubot stuff it basically looks like nothing is happening for ages as there is no user feedback unless they open task manager (which is something else which could obviously be improved a great deal) I also really love ubot - its allowed me to rapidly create some bots that would have otherwise took me a lot longer, its just a bit frustrating that we can't present them a bit more professionally when we come to sell them. tnhomestead 16
The support files are in appdata/roaming/ubotstudio/browser/version number you are using. Basically all the files in there need to be used.
UBOTEM 18
+1 to this getting sorted.... Commercially I use UB4 to compile, but would love to use UB5 as seems to be stable for most things now.... But as a DEV I expect no reference to ubot. As I am aware currently these issues in UB5 1. Ubot Support Error Message.2. Browser Crash Page is a ubot branded page and hosted on ubot website.3. App Data folder (issue in UB4 also).4. exe version numbers (issue in UB4 also). Issue #4 can be solved after exe is compiled, but should be an option for this in ubot. Issues #1 & #2 are BIG ISSUES and need to be fixed... Also may be issues with installers in UB5, as I do not use this as prefer to have more control and use NSI Installer instead. When branding is removed fully (or at least debranded to UB4 standard), I would be able to use UB5 commercially, until then it is no use to me apart from to see what features I could have

cүвεя_נυηкιε 68
Hey, .. Sort of related to this in an indirect way lol, what happened to the little "Downloading support files ... " window ? Ive had numerous tickets from customers complaining that a bot wont open, I ask them to open their task manager to see whats going on in the background and indeed it usually says "*Botname* Downloading support files .. "but they dont get the little popup to let them know, obviously this is down to the user having network speed from the stoneage, but if they saw the little popup like before then they would at least know so yea, .. just curious CJ
