List Problem, Newbie Requesting Help

Good day, 

I have a list running on and EXISTS comparison. Now when I run the comparison, its as if the list value isn't being read and just goes thru the next line of code? Below is the piece of the code that I'm referring:

if($comparison($exists(<((class=w"*" AND title=$list item(%purchaseProductTitle,#buyingScheduleCount)) AND href=w"*")>),"= Equals","true")) {}

Am I'm doing something different or erroneous here?
