It works perfectly fine for me. I did a lot of tests here on my end.

1) Can I specify the browser viewport (width & height) on launching

 

and

 

2) Can I take a screenshot with ExBrowser?

 

 

 

If I wanted to take 3 screenshots of 5 different sizes (different width/height viewport) of a webpage as quickly as possible, what would be the best way to achieve that with ExBrowser?

Info:

Firefox Proxy Authentication now works with a FF Extension.

So no need for AutoIt and Window handling anymore. That makes it works

a lot better. And now also supports multithreading with FF and proxy authentication.

 

Known Limitations:

Since a couple of firefox versions, it's not possible to send certain Keystrokes via the automation

framework to the firefox browser. Because of that it's not possible to open or close additional tabs and windows.

If a website opens a new tab / window, this can still be automated. But you can not close it and you can not switch between tabs / windows.

If this is a requirement, you have to use Chrome. Unfortunately this is nothing I can fix myself.

But as soon as there is a fix or workaround, I will implement it.

When exbrowser was first introduced ( prior to the guys who currently maintain the platform) a communications plugin was released with it, it allowed bots to communicate with the each other.

Unfortunately it is not widely known of , promoted or supported

I'm considering trying out Exbrowser, because of all the difficulties with the built-in UBot browser.

 

I watched the videos. But I'm still a bit puzzled about how the plugin works.

 

I was just wondering...

 

... if I use Exbrowser... since it takes control of my Chrome browser... does the window need to be active in order for the software to run?
 

Or can I run it in background while doing other tasks?

You can do your other stuff while it's running/working. there's also "off screen" option you can use to hide (off screen) exBrowser, you still see it's icon in taskbar though.

 

It's a great plugin and you need it to make a good bot.

Just purchased so this is a noob question. When I launch Chrome with ExBrowser, I get a notice inside Chrome that says "Chrome is being controlled by automated test software".

 

Is this potentially a problem? As its kind of a giveaway if the browser is popping up that message.

No problem, it's ChromeDriver's.

In Options of Launcher command put "ExBrowser Chrome Disable Info Bars" from Parameters section.

So I open chrome with exbrowser, navigate to a specific website than open a game window and after game is loaded I need to press a button that will work with keyboard key "SPACE" ...

 

How can I do that ? to send the ley "space" on the new window ... btw the content is flash.

Send special key require an atribute or something and also does not have space in the list.

If you having trouble using other methods, you could try using javascript maybe .. something like :

var e = new KeyboardEvent('keydown',{'keyCode':32,'which':32});

Made it to change window name after focus that and simple use ubot send key Worked!
