Proxies Vs Vpn

Hey Ubotters!

 

I havent seen much information on VPN's in this forum and wanted to get input from fellow uboters on the difference between VPN's and Proxies. How each are being used and benefits of either or. Also, I see a good amount of script within UBOT for Proxy but nothing for VPN, Are there ways to successfully input VPN accounts??

I Use HMA Pro VPN,i never liked Proxies so my bots have HMA Support since all my customers already use it so bots can change IP automatically while HMA is Running and for me its the best way cause VPN are much Safer than Proxies Unless you use Private Proxies which i think its expensive but hey everyone works differently!

Do they give you a program that you run outside UBOT to make the VPN connection?

Can you change your IP whenever you want?

They need it for the nature of their work so this program just runs in background and The Bot changes IP by simply sending request to HMA and this way Changing IP is completely automated!

 

I use T.J Plugin to make it easier for me

For me, I find proxies easy to use and I like them because you can run 5 separate processes using 5 different IP addresses easily. I've used VPN's for torrents because not all proxies support P2P functions or other types of internet traffic. If you're new to Ubot and want something easy to use, I would recommend HMA and use TJ's HMA integration plugin.

Both proxies and VPN will have your originating IPs changed. But with proxy, you connection is unsecure. This means that there will be a way to track down you activity. For VPN, there is still a way but it will be 10 times more difficult. Or may 20 times.

if for ubot (doing small task) VPN is my choice

then for other tools/task e.g for mass scraping I use free proxy

else buy dedicated private proxy
