Compiler question...

I wrote my first bot and it is working great.

 

When I complile it I get the message that it compiled successfully.

 

When I try to run the compiled install program I am told that I am missing all of the DLLs that go with browser.exe

 

I went back and specifically included all of those DLLs in my compile and still got the same 30 or 40 missing dll messages

 

I am a professional programmer and I have used numerous very complicated programs to create self-installing EXEs that I could sell and distribute and have never had any problem learning any of them.

 

I have searched far and wide for compiler instructions but apparently they feel it is too self-explanatory to need any instructions or tutorial.

 

What am I missing?

@BummerBob ... man I have never had any issue like that and never heard of anyone else have anything like that, however, most of my experience is with v4 because i'm not going to play with v5 for while.

 

For something like your issue, it's probably going to be best to go ahead and submit a support ticket. Dev. users get really quick response time.

It sounds like you are on ubot 5,you should have no problems compiling your bot in ubot 4.

So i would advice to use ubot 4 for now and just use ubot 5 to play with until the bugs are gone.

I have noticed several minor bugs in v5 and no major ones at all so far. All in all, I have been quite happy with the product and look forward to creating many bots.

 

I have submitted a support ticket, but apparently they aren't so quick after hours, which is to be expected.

 

I'll wait for their response before I revert to v4.

I apologize. This thread was misleading from the start. I was (and still am) getting 27 error messages during all of my compiles, but the errors are all bogus. I simply have to click "Ignore" 27 times and my compiled bots work.

 

The error messages are not about missing DLLs at all. They are about write errors while trying to write DLL files to c:\users\owner\appdata\roaming\ubot studio\browser\5.0.4. Of course that is nonsense. I am not trying to install any DLL files or any other files to that folder.

 

Thanks for your replies and I am sorry I wasted your time. Please consider this thread closed. However, I still have a real problem and will open another thread if I can't find any posts relating to my problem.
