ajacko 15
Hi all, I am getting so frustrated with editing even moderately sized bots at the moment. I am finding it takes an age - 30+ seconds sometimes - to move to a new tab or open a node to edit. I have 6gb ram, 1 tb hard drive, only browser and skype open. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is it me or is anyone else having this issue?
Frank 177
Split your bot up into defines and move the defines to their own tab. If you have more then a hundred commands in one tab, Ubot will slow down
ajacko 15
Thanks Frank. So - all defines go into a single tab and then hide the tab when compiling?
Frank 177
Or use multiple tabs, up to you and yes hide the tabs after. Just a heads up though, if you move defines to a new tab, you'll have to save and reopen the bot before running again.
VentureOnline 49
Frank your suggestion is an ok workaround but this issue should still be fixed. Every node you add to ubot slows it down slightly. This should not be the way it is. Any bot that does something worth using becomes tedious and frustrating to work on.
